Elewana Serengeti Pioneer Camp

We booked through a tour operator and were so pleased with our stay at Serengeti Pioneer Camp! We had no idea what to expect. We were immediately greeted by the staff with eucalyptus hand towels and thermoses. After a briefing, we enjoyed drinks in the lounge, which houses a full bar and scenic viewing area decorated like an old school British safari camp. The tents are spacious and comfortable and also impeccably decorated. There is a western toilet, hot showers, and solar powered lights. There is WiFi in the rooms and a power bank for charging devices. You get a walkie-talkie for any requests and escorts. At breakfast, lunch and dinner you are treated to a gourmet meal with a taste of Africa! Filtered water is readily available as well as Sherry for after dinner. The location is very secluded within the park. It’s quiet, and there is a bonfire each night. We especially enjoyed the staff and would like to mention Marcel and Yona as spectacular hosts!

Very lovely trip, high quality service and quality of food. The rooms were always cared for and exceptionally clean. Tents were spacious. Staff was welcoming and joyful. Location allowed us to see many lions. Special thanks to the team Victor, Yona, Dawson and the team supporting them. Two suggestions; WiFi didn’t reach our room even when told the whole park had complete reach.

The most amazing lodge we have stayed at. Everything from the service to the meals to the staff was exceptional. Highly recommended. Kelvin was a standout. Lions were on the rocks next to the reception when we arrived.

An excellent experience. Tents were lovely and the showers were particularly lovely for a camp environment. The food was exceptional and the layout of the bar and reception are was beautifully laid out. The wildlife is in and around the camp (baboons to greet you and others show up in the night), but all safe and lovely.

We were all over Africa and this place is really special. The environment, the people, the animals that come almost to our door (or tent), everything in this place is magical. Thank you. Hope to see you again soon

The people were very friendly and accommodating. The food was good. No outlet in our room but did have chargers for phones and did have electricity and a full bathroom. The bed was warm and comfortable. We saw 20 lions on our full day game drive. Very muddy and bumpy in some places, but part of the adventure.
