I always stay at The Mate Pau in Barcelona because it is clean and the people are very friendly. It is almost at the airport bus stop so it’s also very convenient.
The inside courtyard rooms are quieter than the rooms facing the road but after a day in Barcelona you might be too tired to notice.
Breakfast is amazing and the staff are fantastic.

Checking in was quick and easy
Originally we got a room without a bath, but wanted a bath so went to reception and paid for upgrade.
Room came with tea/coffee making facilities and complimentary chocolates.
Shower and was great
Bed and pillows were comfortable
Fantastic location !
Can't comment on the breakfast as didn't order any.
Reception staff were very friendly and helpful,

It's very close to Plaza Catalunya and it's nice. The facilities were also clean. I would like to book again next time I come to Barcelona.

I stayed for 3 nights in total and it cost more than RMB5K. I felt that the price/performance ratio was not very high. In the single room, the window is close to the patio, and there is almost no window feeling. The only advantage of staying here is that the location is great. The hotel is very close to Plaza Catalunya, only a 2-minute walk away. You can also walk to La Pedrera. I walked there, which took about 20 minutes. Along the way, you can pass many luxury stores, such as LV and Dior. You can go shopping in the LV store, which is much cheaper than in China, but you need to queue.

This hotel is super convenient. It is in a great location to La Ramblas and Placa de Catalunya, and is exactly what we were looking for. The most comfortable pillows ever!!! There are a lot of switches for lights and It took me a while to figure out how to turn one of them off. The shower was nice and clean. I appreciate that. The breakfast is good too!! I love a good continental breakfast.
