The room layout was very strange, like a long, narrow strip with the bathroom awkwardly placed in the middle. The soundproofing was terrible; we could feel our room vibrate every time someone closed a door nearby. It definitely didn't feel like a four-star hotel. The double bed was also quite small; at 175cm, I'd practically hang off it. Plus, the bed kept moving forward away from the headboard.

The location is good, but the hotel itself is very old and dated. You're really paying for the location, as it's right in the heart of the old town. However, the stay wasn't very comfortable. The bedding and sheets were just so-so, and the air circulation was poor, making the upper floors feel quite stuffy. I wouldn't recommend it. It's convenient that there's a Carrefour nearby, but the rooms are small. Even though there's a private bathroom, I'm surprised this is a four-star hotel; it feels a bit overpriced.

The room was quite spacious, but the bathroom facilities were a bit dated. The shower, which was converted from a bathtub, only had a half-glass screen, so water easily splashed everywhere. The hotel's breakfast was very good, with a rich variety of options and excellent service. There was also complimentary lemonade available in the hotel lobby. The location is fantastic, very close to Barcelona Cathedral and Palau de la Música Catalana. The Gothic Quarter's various alleys are also great for exploring, with an abundance of restaurants and coffee shops.

This is a great hotel, excellent value for money. I've stayed at Ilunion hotels in several Spanish cities, and they're always good. The breakfast is quite generous, and the rooms are modern. Overall, very satisfied.

This hotel is absolutely terrible. The front desk clerk, Marta, who is Chinese, told me it wasn't the right hotel when I showed her my booking details and the hotel name in English. I kept navigating around the area, and it clearly showed this was the place. When I went back a second time, she claimed she didn't recognize the hotel name because it was in Chinese, even though she had previously said she only spoke English and Spanish. The crucial part is that there was an English translation right below the Chinese name, and the address matched! It was only when I confronted her a second time that she admitted it was indeed the correct hotel. Her attitude was incredibly rude, yet she was perfectly nice to white guests. The room they assigned me was even worse – the bed was right by the door, making me feel very insecure. The room was pitifully small too.

This hotel claims to be four-star, but honestly, it's more like a two-star in Japan or China. The room was dark, and the facilities were old and inconvenient to use. The front desk service was also completely unsatisfactory. I had already paid and entered all my personal information when I booked online, yet check-in took longer than immigration at the airport! The staff's expressions were cold, and I found their tone quite rude (this part was recorded using AI translation). I've visited several European countries in recent years, and this hotel in Barcelona left a particularly bad impression. (Perhaps it was partly due to my poor foreign language skills, making it difficult to navigate their complicated procedures.)

Fantastic location! It's super convenient to public transport, both bus and metro, and just a few hundred meters' walk to the 'kissing wall' and all sorts of shopping areas. There's even a supermarket right downstairs from the hotel. The front desk staff were also very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend! (Daily housekeeping is a plus!)
