Upon check in the reception lady earnestly recommand a seafood restaurant to us, said booking is necessary as it’s a small restaurant. Within 5 min she confirmed the reservation. When we arrived only 5 table was occupied by couples all oriental except one western couple. It was very pricy, we ordered 1 Shangri, and one glass of white wine, , 1 portion grill razor clam which arrived very small when eaten it had sand so we left half untouched. One portion Iberico ham, very tough to chew it has the tendon when I complaint the manageress was most unfriendly as the 2 starters were so disappointing we cancelled our paella which we have to order 2 by restaurant rules. Bill came to £79 we just paid & left. It was a real rip off as we went to another restaurant nearby had the same thing food was good & cost half the price. It’s a nice hotel but pricy & advice guest not to take recommendations from hotel staff.

For what you would expect from a hotel of this category, it leaves something to be desired. I was given a room right next to the meeting rooms, in an area that doesn’t feel suitable for guest accommodation, which meant very little privacy. The room was also almost at street level, making it easy for people outside to see in. In addition, the hot water took quite a long time to come through, as the water pressure seemed off. Nevertheless, the bedding was comfortable and ensured a good night’s sleep, and the location is a strong point—convenient and well-situated.

5 star all the way from check in to room appearance to the courtesy and professionalism of the staff. Excellent city location too.

Good location, close enough to the sagrada familia. Quiet at night. However, compared to other 5-star hotels, this hotel has a very small lobby and crude elevators that don’t match a 5-star rating. Hardware-wise, it’s probably 4-star at best. Service - Concierge staff was polite upon check in, but the display of hospitality stopped there. Thereafter, door men at the gate didn’t greet or even acknowledge guests upon leaving or returning to the hotel. Considering the hotel lobby was so small that guests literally passed by in front of them, it came across as quite indifferent and awkward. Amenities - There were intermittent sounds of water dripping onto a metal surface in my room during my stay. My guess is the air con system had some flaws. I asked the concierge to send people to check when I was outside (which they did), but there was no follow up afterwards and the dripping sound remained the second night. Besides, the staff who entered my room for checking took away my room card from the electricity holder, which should have never been allowed for safety considerations because the room card was registered under my name and no other person should have it during my stay.
