Regnum Bansko Ski Hotel & Spa

This hotel is a solid 3 star hotel, not 5 stars We stayed in the Executive Suite with Mountain View, for our dates in January it was around $260/night (overpriced in my opinion, should be around $130-150) PROS: -beautiful view of the mountains -they give you 1 complimentary bottle of water upon arrival -room is clean and has fridge, also has some silverware for you to use -house keeping is good in arranging our room and clothes CONS: -hotel is very old, outdated and needs a renovation -around 12 mins walk to gondola, which seems near but is hard because of cold weather + if you're wearing ski boots -they are very cheap and give only 1 free bottle of water upon arrival, theres no more free water in the room after that -they dont have shampoo or conditioner, instead they combined everything into 1 shampoo/conditioner/body wash liquid -no disposable toothbrush -there is jacuzzi but water is not warm, its lukewarm and needs to be hotter -breakfast is 99% the same thing everyday and is composed of: cheeses, dried meats, fried frozen foods (cheese, squid, potatoes) -dinner is overpriced at €30/person and not worth it -most of the times, housekeeping did not clean our floor (we know this because we have some of our jacket fur on the floor and once we get back its still there) -you think you have access to Regnum Banya Thermal, but you have to pay around $10/person to get access Would not recommend staying here as its overpriced for the value you get. I was talking to other people and they are happy with their stay at Kempinski (more expensive), Hotel Lion & Platinum

I will never return here. It not worth the money. Very old furniture,very bad cleaning. I left a day before . I was supposed to leave on December 28th and I left on the 27th, without them asking why. I paid extra money for Christmas dinner even though I had already paid pension

we visited the hotel nice staff at reception the room very beautiful with a nice view and big it was just that the room was very cold freezing 😏😏 water very dirty in spa and pools and two nights we stayed there and slept, no one came to clean our room or bring us clean towels a great shame for such a hotel and in such nice places as it is the breakfast was a very rich buffet, but everything was frozen as if it was lost, take it out of the fridge now very nice polite bar staff !!

A stay at Regnum Bansko is definitely worth. Quitely located in the upper area of the town, a short walk from the gondola station, this hotel offers everything that one needs for a nice holiday: indoor and outdoor swimming pools, water slides, sporting fields, whirlpool, massage rooms. The hotel has a dependency in the nearby Banya village where several pools with thermal water at temperatures between 28 and 39 °C can be used free of charge by the hotel guests. The suites are spacious enough and can accommodate families with up to four children. The hotel restaurant offers a variety of dishes of the national and international cuisine, a huge salad bar, desserts, fruit and vegetables. The opening hours are long enough for all visitors and there is enough of everything everytime so one doesn't need to hurry to get his favourite dish. The staff is very kind and client oriented. All requests are satisfied within a few minutes, no matter at what time of the day or night. I can only conclude with my children's now and then asking "When are we going again to this great five-star hotel in Bansko?"

For a 2 stars hotel it might do the job. We’ve been itching because of insects in our mattresses. When we told the reception they told us they change the sheets. But it didn’t solve the problem because these insects stay inside the mattresses. The manager was so rude and not helpful at all and she said there’s nothing they can do. That’s in addition to the bad sewage smell from the bathroom. The most disappointing thing was the treatment and the fact that a 5 stars hotel won’t take responsibility for such a shameful problem.

air con in only one room, no balcony, the reception staff are not nice at all. in the weekend so many people we cant go in the pool. the room is very big thats the only good thing. children club very old, ,no aircon anywhere

We have been visiting the Regnum in Bansko for years. We pay to use the pool and slides, eat and drink there, spending a lot of money. This year we had the most awful experience! The lifeguards are always inconsistent but this year after going to the pool on several occasions where we saw loads of kids jumping in, diving in, men even somersaulting in, our children on the seventh day of going to the pool were told not to jump in. Fine, they didn’t. Then the boys across three families who are 13 went down the slide too quick on after the other got told to get out of the slide pool. Bear in mind people had been throwing themselves and going down in group’s previous to this!! Our son then went to go on the slide with us, his parents and the lifeguard shouted at him, so he went back down, the next minute the lifeguard has pushed him down towards the exit and told him to get out!! He tried to get back to us but he would not let him, and tried to push him outside to the street in bare feet and trunks! Myself and my husband caught up with him to find out what was going on, he squared up to my husband and told us all to leave ( there were 3 families). We had done nothing wrong. The lady on the went ran e desk tried to tell us it was because our kids were jumping in the pool, which they hadn’t since they were told! I spoke to the manager and the aqua park manager and he apologised and got us drinks and I’ve creams. The lifeguard did not like this and we could see him talking to the Bulgarian guests. The next minute we were all surrounded by the lifeguards, security guard, the lady from the desk and told to leave!!!!! They tried to say guests had complained which is complete rubbish! It was absolutely disgraceful and we will not be spending a penny there again. We go every year and this is how we’re are treated. Bare in mind we were the only English there!!! Despicable behaviour!!!!

We just leaving the hotel and it’s was a perfect week for us family, the stuff is Great and we’re friendly, and kind.. the hotel is beautiful, with nice weather park! Just perfect place for the family staying
