Hotels in Riverside, Bangkok

The hotel's location is decent and it's very quiet. It's a bit old but the cleanliness is acceptable. I'd stay here again.

This was my first time staying at a riverside hotel. After 5 nights in the city center, we moved here for two nights. The website mentioned a shuttle boat service from the pier near the subway station to the hotel. However, there were no signs at the pier indicating where to catch the hotel's shuttle. There was just a big guy sitting there, so I took a chance and asked him. He told us to just wait there, and a boat would come every half hour. After waiting for nearly 40 minutes, a hotel staff member approached us to say there was no boat and drove us to the hotel instead. Apparently, there's a two-hour lunch break in the middle of the day when no boats operate. This information should have been clearly stated on the website. Having to wait in such hot weather, just the experience of getting to the hotel was already quite frustrating. Fortunately, after checking in and getting to our room, the impression was quite good. The room was spacious, clean, and tidy, with river and pool views, which immediately lifted my spirits. We had breakfast at the hotel both mornings, and it was alright. On checkout day, there was a boat available, shuttling us back to the subway station pier. At least we got to cruise along the Chao Phraya River, concluding our trip to Thailand.

When we booked this particular hotel I made the mistake of wanting a hotel near the old train station, instead of the central terminal. We had a train to catch to Hua Hin the next day. Nonetheless, for the 1 night we stayed it was a fantastic hotel and we saw many tourist attractions. Our room was newly renovated and beautifully appointed with plenty of furnishings. I particularily loved all the tables and space in our room. And even though the hotel was under construction/renovations, the management gave us plenty of notice about the noise. We really appreciated this from hotel management. And I'm sure when their construction is finished, this hotel will look amazing. Well, it's already a fantastic hotel. One concern some travellers might have is the location of this hotel. It's located on and surrounded mostly by pedestrian alleyways. It's great if you're a city walker or a hiker but might be a bit of an inconvenience if you have a car. Also, the area is outstanding with plenty to see and tons of venues for night life, bars and restaurants. It's a big tourist area and can get busy but if the bar and party scene is your fun and playground, then this riverside Chinatown area will not disappoint. Highly recommend this accommodation but it would be best to book and stay here once their renovations are completed.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff are so friendly and attentive, always finding a way to help everyone. There's a small shop inside the hotel, and a 7/11 and the Gold Line station are close by, plus Iconsiam isn't far either. The breakfasts are delicious. The room was a bit dirty in the corners and around the light fixtures, but they changed the towels and water every day. The room itself is beautiful, just like in the pictures, and it's quiet :) Thank you 🤍

it was of a business trip, the hotel is not located centrally but it has beautiful views, overlooking Mekong river. Although the hotel is slightly dated but the rooms are kept clean. Staff are nice, especially Por and Nook from concierge, both of them are patient and polite in our conversation and especially Nook who went all the way to help my colleagues with her lost and found mobile phone on the road. Lek from the restaurant is always full of smile and energy, love her presence each morning during our four-day stay. Should chances be given, we will definitely return to this hotel!

Wonderful hotel! The room was clean, a bit small, but who has time to sit in their room when in Bangkok? The staff were very responsive. They even allowed us to check out after 2 PM completely free of charge. Check-in and check-out were very quick. And of course, the main advantage is the location – close to the metro and the pier. Definitely recommend!

I was very disappointed with my experience at this hotel, especially considering it is a five-star property. As a Thai guest, I felt unappreciated and unwelcome by ”the reception staff”. They kept me waiting for a long time during check-in without any explanation or apology. But the most unappreciated that I was treated differently. It seemed like foreign guests received a much warmer welcome, while I felt ignored and looked down upon. As a guest, I expected the same level of respect and hospitality regardless even what is my nationality. By the way, not all staff were the same. The restaurant staff and Breakfast room staff were friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. They made me feel much more welcome, and I truly appreciate their excellent service. I sincerely hope the hotel provides better customer service training for the front reception team. Every guest deserves to be treated with respect, courtesy, and a genuine smile, regardless of where they come from.

The room overlooked the Chao Phraya River, offering an absolutely stunning view, but the room itself was old and had an unpleasant smell. Which do you prioritize? 1. If you're all about the view, then this is the place for you. 2. If the view isn't a top priority and you're more focused on modern facilities and hardware, then don't even consider it. At this price point, you really can only pick one.

This time, we specifically chose to experience the famous beautiful scenery at Shangri-La Bangkok. It's in an excellent location, perfectly convenient with BTS stations and shopping malls nearby. They also have punctual shuttle boats to Iconsiam, and even the 12-baht public boat's pier is right next to the hotel. It boasts stunning river views at sunset and night, delicious food, and warm, attentive staff who are always smiling. Our family of four was incredibly satisfied with our stay!

This is my third trip to Bangkok, and even though I was only staying one night after my Hua Hin vacation, I still chose this hotel that I've grown to love. MeiMei and Pong at the front desk were as friendly and welcoming as ever, and I even got my favorite Room 705 again! Everything was just like my previous two stays. Breakfast had a delightful surprise – a special recommendation (today it was Hainanese chicken rice and green mango with sweet and spicy fish sauce). I'll be back in Bangkok many more times, and I'll definitely choose this place again! Plus, the location is unbeatable – right by BTS Saphan Taksin station. It's less than 20 minutes to Central World (you can get off at Ratchadamri or Siam station), and to the famous Factory Coffee - BKK, it's just one transfer to the Sukhumvit Line at Siam, taking only 30 minutes in total!
