I rarely take the time to write hotel reviews, but I really want to share my experience with friends who are interested in staying at the intercontinental in Thong Lor. I was very disappointed with this trip because I booked the wrong hotel. First of all, I would like to remind people that there are two InterContinental hotels in Bangkok. I wanted to book the one near Chit Lom BTS, but I booked the wrong one. I asked for a refund, but they said they would not accept it. I had to try. I am a member of the InterContinental Hotel. I arrived around 12:30 that day and wanted to check in early, but was rejected. My friend who was traveling with me checked in early without asking. I was really wondering at that time, what is my membership worth? The most annoying thing is that the front desk clerks greeted me with a smile, but discussed the guest's situation with her colleagues in Thai. They didn't expect me can speak Thai, I could hear everything they said clearly, and they were all criticizing the guests! On the third day we went out for dinner at about 12:30. We had pressed the room cleaning instructions before we went out, but when we came back at 16:15, the room was still not cleaned. We had to go to the front desk to give it another instruction before it was resolved. I was speechless. I didn't expect that the same brand would have such a big difference in service attitude. I guess I will never stay at this InterContinental hotel in Thong Lor again. Good things are the location and the quality of breakfast. Bad things are the staffs attitude and super small swimming poor.
