InterContinental BANGKOK SUKHUMVIT by IHG

This was my first stay at a Jizhou-branded hotel, and overall, I had a great experience! Most of the hotel staff were friendly and polite. For breakfast, you could order à la carte (with the option to add more dishes) or choose from the buffet. Most of the food was of good quality, and there were slight variations daily. The restaurant seating was comfortable, and staff were quick to clear plates and refill water. (My only complaint would be the drinks: the coffee/chocolate was quite average.) Since it was my birthday, I contacted the hotel in advance and they kindly provided decorations, a cake, and two free drinks at the 2nd-floor bar – very thoughtful! The bar had a buy-one-get-one-free offer from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, followed by a live band performance after 8:30 PM. Unfortunately, I was already tipsy and missed the show. The 32nd floor houses the infinity city-view pool, fitness center, Harnn spa, and observation deck. The spa was fully booked, so I had to make an appointment for the next day (it's best to book in advance). The environment was clean and comfortable, and the best part is they don't rush you through the whole process! (No wonder it's always booked; they allocate ample time for customers.) The massage strength was good, not just a dead push. My room on the 20th floor had a decor I really liked, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering city views. I occasionally heard motorcycle sounds, but it was within an acceptable range. I've become a fan of the Byredo brand – the woody scent was subtle and non-greasy, absorbing quickly. The wooden ledge by the bathtub was perfect for placing my phone to watch videos! Areas for improvement: I feel the hotel needs to step up its facility maintenance. Although it stated a renovation in 2023, you could see that the entrance, corners, flooring, and carpets looked a bit worn. There were also quite a few water stains on the bathroom vanity. Most of the surrounding restaurants are Japanese. If you're craving Thai food, you'll need to go a bit further (the nearby options are generally mediocre). Shopping malls require taking transportation. There's a small 7-Eleven nearby, and outside of it, there's a delicious roti stall. This hotel is great for those who enjoy a relaxed pace, but it's not ideal if you're looking for a shopping-centric trip!

The room was a bit small, but it was adequate. They don't provide toothbrushes daily; you have to ask for a new one each day. The bed was incredibly small, I'm speechless! Their bar was almost impossible to get into for us, as reservations were always required. The breakfast, however, was amazing, I think it was the best I've ever had!

The breakfast and decor are on par with Intercontinental standards, but the footprint, lobby, and rooms are on the smaller side. While the public facilities are exquisite, the pool and gym are also not very large. It's what I'd call a compact five-star hotel. If the price aligns with a business hotel, it's a good choice.

I want to give a special shout-out to Dodo and Prim, the two front desk staff members! They were incredibly patient and thorough throughout our stay, and their English communication was excellent. Check-in was super efficient, and they proactively explained all the hotel facilities, travel routes, and local dining and entertainment spots. They patiently answered all our questions about getting around. They also thoughtfully arranged luggage transport, room type inquiries, and provided helpful travel tips. Their demeanor was both gentle and professional, never making us feel rushed or ignored. When we had last-minute requests, they immediately helped coordinate and resolve them. Their meticulous and thoughtful service completely exceeded our expectations and was the most heartwarming highlight of our Bangkok trip. Thanks to Dodo and Prim's attentive and thoughtful service, our entire stay was exceptionally comfortable and worry-free. I will definitely choose InterContinental Sukhumvit again the next time I visit Bangkok, and I highly recommend it to any friends coming to explore the city!

The room was a bit small, but everything else was great. The staff were generally good, the front desk was very patient, and the doorman was welcoming. The rooftop bar has a unique design! The picture is of the rooftop bar.

Fantastic! I was a bit worried after reading some reviews before booking, but my experience was great in every aspect. Out of the three hotels I stayed at, this one had the best service, even better than the Xintong Hotel. The only downside was the hairdryer; you had to constantly hold down the button for it to work, otherwise it would cut out.

The hotel service was excellent, and the welcome drink was a unique touch. The facilities are relatively new for Bangkok, and the infinity pool offers a truly amazing view.

The service was great, and the room was big, clean, and tidy. Even though it's by the road, it was still very quiet. It's also super close to the famous Pad Krapow and mango sticky rice spots, and getting around is really convenient.
