Balaram Palace Resort, once the hunting retreat of the Lohani Nawab of Palanpur, is now a Heritage Classic hotel. It was built between 1922-1936 by the 29th ruler of Palanpur, His Highness Zubd-ul-Mulk Dewan Mahakhan Nawab Sir Taley Muhammad Khan Lohani. It is a graceful manifestation of neo-classical and baroque architectural style. Situated amidst the Aravallis in the 542 sq. kms of Balaram Ambaji Reserve Forest at the tip of North Gujarat it borders Rajasthan. The palace is set in 13 acres of terraced upland rising from a hilly stream and surrounded by lush green gardens and designed flower beds. Very Nice place to stay with Family!!! Food is Very Good specially the India Food. The location is very nice, and the property is very good!! Rooms & Bathrooms need more maintenance. But all in all a very pleasant place to stay.

Well ***icured lawns, tastefully appointed rooms and an attentive guest services staff, all go into making you feel like the old nawab of Palalanpur. The property is a well maintained and carefully restored heritage property that dates back to 1922. Nestled in the midst of a lush green forest with the Aravalli mountain range in the background, a river meanders around the property during the wet season. I was fortunate to have witnessed a beautiful sight of fish jumping in the waters. A quiet hamlet and a few temples are located close by. The sunrise from the lawns and the sunsets are just glorious. A great place to spot birds. In all it is a wonderful retreat to decompress from the hustle bustle of the city.

We stayed at BALARAM PALACE RESORT with family between 24th and 26 th Dec. Very serene place for family. Well kept Rooms, nicely maintained Gardens & lawns , Staff like Mahesh, Roshan, Gopal and entire team take proper care of guests . Food served is nice enough. Place is super for families and couples
