Hillside Residence Khao Yai
4.2/59 Reviews
We have been to Khao Yai before at other resorts. This time we tried Romantic Residence. We would not recommend this place compared to other resorts in the same price range. The staff hardly speaks English, hotel room/appartment not designed with the user in mind (no reading lamps and bedside tables, air con in the middle of room and ice cool air on your head when lying in the bed). Besides, the style is not romantic at all and the pool is situated in the Romantic Hotel Resort which reminds of a shopping mall where nobody wants to lie quietly by the pool. The views from the room/appartment to the mountains was nice!

My husband and I booked here for 3 nights and used it as a base to go off and explore KYNP staying in the jungle for 1 night. The cabins are really comfy and clean, they had everything we needed. They are not fancy or over the top and this suited us well. The bed was comfy and both AC and a fan was available. The owner is very sweet and helpful, she brought my husband bananas from her garden every morning and gave him some to take on our journey when we left. Breakfast was included and was great, fried rice was really tasty. Overall we had a great stay, the location is good, has some restaurants and pharmacy very close by within walking distance. If your planning to visit the national park I would recommend booking tour guide with transport or hiring a car. We used KhaoYaiandbeyond which we would recommend!!

The accommodation is in front of the entrance to Khao Yai National Park. It's very cold at night. So cold that the water heater has no meaning at all 🤣🤣 but overall it's okay. The price is not expensive at all. Big house. Seriously, 3-4 people can still sleep together. There is a kitchen, built-in microwave. There are also grilling equipment for you. You don't have to buy it yourself. As for the bathroom, there is a bathtub in it too. There's golf to hit, and arrows to shoot.

We booked online using Govt promo and we got very good deal and main we choose this hotel as its not too far away from eatery and attractions. Reservations and front have been helpful. We got food coupons worth of 800 bht to be used in the hotel at the time of check in which can only be used at restaurants and for food and non alcoholic drinks only. Hotel only has 1 restaurant with very limited choices. Nothing much and breakfast spread is very limited and its nearly same all the days. So food really need improvement in this property besides that every thing was good. Housekeeping were very sweet and did all the set up and arranged complimentary cake for his birthday and also followed our time changing. Room service were quick. I think spa was closed due to covid precautions. Our stay was pleasant one. Pet friendly hotel and many had brought their dogs with them. Deluxe rooms ( we stayed in this room type ) are spacious and they have interconnected rooms for families with children. Rooms and amenities are well maintained. Modern hotel !!! They have rock climbing, rabbit n alpacas for children to enjoy with additional fee. Recommended this property if you are not serious or fussy with food.

I did a reservation via phone. First I asked for Daisy room but the staff said that Pitunia is better at the same price (room with pool access). I said Yes, expecting pool access room. However when I was at resort, the staff brought us to Pitunia room with no pool access. She said that the rooms with pool acces are unavailable and she also said that the staff that I made contact gave me wrong information (seems that she did not know that the room was unavailable during my stay). I could not change room as they were already full. Really sad.

Very disappointed service that we ever experienced. I have informed the reservation when I made a reservation that the check in time will be very late after midnight. I and my partner arrived the hotel at 1.20am which we were aware of our lateness. The security guard asked us about how we made a booking, and he immediately called a lady who came out to welcome us, she was horrible to not even say sawasdee to us, she just hand over the key to us. The security guard instead was nice continued to handled our check in. I woke up early and rush to get out for the business and left my partner in the room alone. And I messaged to a receptionist to keep my room for late checkout, bu my partner was so upset feeling hurriedly bad, the receptionist kept calling him to get out from the room and no option or alternative like allow him to wait at the restaurant or lat a lobby area. He felt so down and pushed him to get out. He decided to get a taxi heading straight to Suvanaphummi international airport, and I got him back with extra cost. I arrived the hotel and told that my partner has left and seem no interested to know where he has been, anyway doesn’t matter the matter is why no one would talk to him and give him a bit of place for him to wait for me to be back. The room was hot we expected it was too small we found any ants in bed, and felt not comfortable to sleep, food was not too bad and the service was not bad too. The breakfast was somehow ok, table sets up was nothing to impress, food was not too bad. Unfortunately we would never back to stay there ever again.
