"The room had been updated with new carpet, furniture, TV and comfortable king bed. Clean with nice linen. Because of the by-pass, there is little traffic on street at night. Has all kitchen items for tea, toast and a microwave. Good for a budget motel."

Riverside Apartments & Hotel

"Interesting. Had some great elements, some average elements and some not so good points. There are a number of different apartment types on offer and we had the cheaper non river facing rooms (cheaper). You pay more for the better views, but it is good to have choice. The great - awesome location on the river, near a large supermarket (Woolworths), and other nice venues like cafes and Club. Really convenient. The average - the service was minimal although quick and efficient. The secure car park is appreciated, although a bit tight in some areas. The bed and amenities in the room were OK, nothing special. It had a small microwave which was useful and a large balcony which unfortunately only overlooked a laneway and backs of shops. The room was quite dark with little natural light, and dated, but clean and comfortable. The price was maybe a little over the venue value, but pretty close comparative to what is on offer in town. Not so good - the noisy trucks at 5.30am were definitely not appreciated, albeit out of the control of the Managers. "

Reflections Shaws Bay - Holiday Park

"What a wonderful location with lovely views, and easy access to walking, swimming or bicycling. The pub is right next door too, with family-friendly and dog-friendly dining, and there is a pizza/fish and chip shop and a coffee shop close by. The park is dog-friendly too. Facilities are kept very clean, even though they are older. And the grounds are well cared for. The pedestrian gate codes are tricky to use and the handles don't all work the same way so be careful not to lock yourself out at night and have to walk all the way around to the front boom gate. (Practise opening them in the daylight.) We have stayed several times in our motorhome on the waterview and waterfront sites and would certainly stay again."

Reflections Ballina - Holiday Park

"What a fantastic, spacious cabin. Large bed, great shower room, and kitchen had all the amenities. We parked right outside. There is no need to bring anything. It was spotlessly clean with a hair dryer, iron, etc. Located a five minute walk into the town and opposite the river. It was also very quiet. As a campsite, it seemed to offer all the washing facing launderette. We would definitely stay here again. One star dropped because we couldn't get any hot water in the shower, and we needed to leave as the staff were arriving. The lady in reception was very apologetic and went off to source the problem. "

"Just love the food from this pub. It is reasonably priced also . Seating inside or outside. Service is great. A nice place for family get together or a long lunch. Will be back again.."
