The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali

I had booked a king-size bed the night before, but when I arrived, they told me they only had twin beds. It was really disappointing. My spouse and I were traveling alone without the kids, and even if it wasn't our honeymoon, we still wanted some romance. Getting twin beds was just awful. The furnishings were very old, and as soon as I entered, there was a strong musty smell. They didn't even refund the price difference for the different room type. This would absolutely never happen in China.

The room was spotless, and the service was incredibly warm and welcoming. The Ikan seaside restaurant served delicious food. The hotel beach was exceptionally clean with soft sand. We spent two days lounging by the sea, and it was the most relaxing and comfortable time we had in Bali. Next time we're in Bali, we'll definitely stay here again!

I had no idea that construction was still in full swing when I arrived. The noise was incredible, and they worked non-stop for a week. I was told the construction wouldn't even be finished by next summer. The breakfast gets tiresome after a day or two; there's nothing that really stands out. The quality is a letdown compared to Hyatt, and even the Westin Ubud had better options. The bathroom floor is incredibly slippery, and water constantly pools because of a drainage issue, or rather, a flaw in the floor's slope design. The sink didn't drain properly from day one. It was baffling that sometimes I'd send a query on WhatsApp and not get a reply for over 24 hours. I later read reviews mentioning that upgraded rooms often turn out to be the noisy ones. My room was next to where staff organized dishes, and the heavy wooden door was misaligned and didn't close properly, so it constantly made a loud thudding sound whenever staff went in and out, day and night. I'd wake up every night because of it. I only figured out the source of the noise on the fifth night. For two days, the hallway was filled with the smell of paint in the mornings and afternoons. There was a high proportion of guests from a specific country. The only positive was that the staff were very friendly.

The room was spotless and comfortable. I especially loved the small roll-on lavender essential oil they left by the bed. The hotel offers direct access to the sea, which is incredibly convenient. You can borrow a bike and cycle along the coastline; on one side, you have the ocean, and on the other, a stretch of hotels. It's refined and beautiful here, a stark contrast to the bustling, more 'lived-in' areas. Breakfast was incredibly varied, with Indonesian, Western, and many other dishes I couldn't quite identify. The Indonesian food at the hotel restaurant was also delicious. Traffic elsewhere in Bali is usually terrible, but it flows very smoothly here, and it's close to the airport. I highly recommend staying in the Nusa Dua area before your departure. The hotel even surprised me with a small cake on my birthday, which happened to be the day I checked in.

I really liked the hotel! The pool was clean, the service was excellent, and the pastries at breakfast were simply magnificent!!!

2-night, 3-day stay at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali Private Beach: The resort's private beach was fantastic for a relaxing and uncrowded getaway. Room Condition & Cleaning: The room was incredibly clean, and the daily meticulous cleaning made for a very pleasant stay. Friendly Service: The staff always greeted us with bright smiles, making us feel truly pampered. Local Prices: Due to Nusa Dua's characteristics, prices within the resort and nearby areas tend to be a bit high. Despite the higher prices, the comfortable rooms, friendly service, and private beach made this a generally satisfying stay! Great for families.
