Great experience. Recovering in covid world. Would recommend having personal transportation during a stay. Monsoon wing best - suite room excellent. Beach not a beach with no pool available. Can swim at end of jetty if you wish. Everything has a price - all experiences. 200000RP per person park entry.Breakfast was wonderful. Lunch and dinner a let down. Can’t see it reaching the standard suggested by the pricing in the near time- in future who knows? So many positives if you limit the negatives. 2-3 days recommended. All options higher in cost than Kuta / Seminyak region.

The hotel is located in the Western National Park, and there are dead trees everywhere. I thought it was strange. After asking, it turned out that everything starts to grow only in November when the rainy season begins. The hotel service is very good, and the snorkeling at Menjangan Island is also good. You can also go to the adjacent hotel Octagan to experience different meals. The two hotels provide free transfers and share the pier. The hotel forgot to change the bath towels, which is not satisfactory.

The hotel is very remote, as are the rooms. Monsoon garden is around 4 mins drive to Bali tower, you can sit and enjoy the view, however seating on upper floors is not very comfortable. Also no staff came up to see if we wanted another drink, had to walk down to the bar. If you wish to go to the beach area, you have to call for transport as that is around 10-15 min drive away. The hotel say that there is wildlife in the forest and has pictures We did see a small amount of monkeys, but saw more on the journey through the mountains to get to hotel. The beach is tiny by the jetty which is actually a pontoon and had a few bits of rubbish floating and washed up, there were no rubbish bins and did not see anyone clean it. There is another small beach near the mangrove area and restaurant. There were also leaves on the floor in the tower, this is inevitable due to location, however could have been swept up, the hotel was not busy and staff weren’t either. Have plenty of bug spray as got bitten quite a few times. The monsoon gardens has a lovely pool but there are no facilities to have a snack, you need to go off site to the tower or beach. Lighting is poor in the rooms and around walk ways from beach restaurant to bus, also on the stairs areas in monsoon gardens and the tower. There is a lack of mirrors too, only one in the bathroom. We were woken by a drunken group, phoned reception twice, who phoned them. Eventually they quietened after 45 mins, then started dragging furniture around. There are activities here to do. I would only recommend a short stay though, and have beach room. Recommend to people I know probably not, return visit no. Saying that the staff were excellent and friendly. The food was lovely too.

We were heading over to Java and thought we would stay here the night before heading out.Sooo glad we did.You have to pay the park fees because you are in the National Park but its less because you are staying at the hotel.I had booked 1 night in a standard room and on arrival we were upgraded to the luxurious suite which was HUGE.The hotel grounds are basically 3 separate areas with reception and the treetop restaurant in one.200m down the road you had the Monsoon area that we stayed in with rooms all around the pool and the third area is on the beach with private Villas and a restaurant looking over Menjungan Island. At first we were a little concerned about getting around as the beach area is 2kms from the rooms but there was a Safari shuttle bus there everytime and no waiting. We had all our meals down at the beach and will stay in one of the beach Villas next time we go(and there will be the next time). The restaurant on the beach is beautiful and there are deer wandering around, monkeys, giant squirrels and snorkelling off the jetty. You can hire canoes, boat and do tours from here too,The food was good although a little on the expensive side but who cares you are in a beautiful haven. Our room was massive as I have said with a 4 poster bed, beautiful toiletries and soaps included.I liked the lemongrass shower gel so much I bought a litre of it from the gift shop before we left. After breakfast we decided rather than take the shuttle back to walk and so glad we did. This was where we saw all the park life including kingfishers and other exotic birds.2kms was nothing. The staff were great and the reception staff were top class and we were treated like royalty.Personal notes thanking us for our stay.Next time 3 nights in the Villa and do more exploring. We have done Menjungan Island twice before so we just relaxed,Thankyou so much to all the staff for making this a highlight of our trip.Sampai Jumpa Lagi

We took a beach vila expecting to dive into the ocean each morning … Forget. You cannot swim there; to shallow and… You cannot swim by the enarby jetty, because it is too crowdy. Rooms are OK, but … they would need some maintenance. The snorkeling experience was superb though. And again: nothing wrong with the staff; on the contrary.

Five days at Menjangan was a marvelous ending of our Indonesian trip. Immersed in nature this eco resort offers wonderful lodges and suites with all the comforts and a very good SPA. The entire Menjangan team is outstanding. They have 2 very good restaurants and we also enjoyed the local cuisine class with chef Putu Ariasa. We are back home and still enjoying the Balinese flavors learned in the class. We had a snorkeling excursion and we repeated it the day after because it was such a marvelous experience: hundreds of colorful fishes around us, turtles and corals.

If you don’t like the peaceful sounds of birds, chattering monkeys or the gentle lap of ocean waves and the best snorkelling in all of Bali then this resort is probably not for you. Fantastically comfortable accommodation and the most amazing staff that are only too happy to make your stay a memorable one. We took the day tour to Menjangan Island for snorkelling and while it’s slightly more expensive than most tours, our guide Sanur was able to point out the most incredible sea life including two turtles, a dolphin and more amazing fish and coral than we have ever seen in our 23 years of visiting Bali. If you’re tired of the increasingly busy hot spots and need some time out to relax by the pool or the beach and eat yourself into a coma, then The Menjangan by Lifestyle Retreats is a must. A huge shout out to assistant manager Gelgel who is the happiest man we’ve ever met. Nothing was too much trouble and his smiling face just made our holiday.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights during my roundtrip in Bali. There is nothing much around in the area but it as a nice place to relax, in the middle of a national park. When I visited it was very dry so the trees were mostly bare. I stayed in a Monsoon suite, which was a great area, as all Monsoon rooms are clustered around a pool and each room has 2 sunbeds in front of it. The room itself was big with a really comfortable bed and - thankfully – an indoor bathroom and shower. The bathroom could do with a little upgrade, but it was fine. What was a really nice touch were the delicious cookies and snake skin fruit provided in my room and the welcome message from the team on the bed. Plenty of water as well and a refill station at the Monsoon reception. Also, so lovely, at night the mosquito net gets opened and they put a little good night message on the bed. Those little extra touches are what sets a hotel apart from others. I had all my meals at the Bali tower and the food was very good. Breakfast was a la carte and there were lots of delicious choices. Service was outstanding and really friendly. I had a massage among the mangroves which was very relaxing. I also had laundry done which was really cheap and well done with same day service. You can get around by calling the buggy which usually came quickly. There are deer in the park and lots of monkeys. The only annoying things were the flies. They kept pestering me at the pool and in reception. Come here if you want some tranquillity, highly recommended.

We stayed in The Residence which had amazing views of the bay and a private swimming pool. A double decker shuttle bus transfers you to beach, restaurant etc, as you wish. Customer service was of a very high standard, food and drinks fabulous. You could spot wild deer, very special to open door first thing in morning to see them grazing on lawn. The rock pools in beach were full of weird and wonderful creatures.
