Stayed 3 nights here and wouldn’t have stayed another. Yes, it was cheap and had the advantage of my family of 5 being able to share a room, but it’s cheap for a reason. Positives: -Big room , 2 large beds -Lovely pool -Close enough to ubud via taxi -Friendly staff but they keep to themselves, not much presence around the area unless you go looking for them . We did meet the manager /owner as We were waiting for our taxi To leave and he was very pleasant and helped us with our bags Negatives - cleaning of the pool area and outside rooms non existent. They bring you room service, if you eat outside then your plates will be left there all day. Many staff walk past and ignore the mess. There has been a pair of old boxer shorts and half empty water bottle beside the pool from when we arrived to when we left! - Pool itself is good but pool area needs updating. Cracked tiles, rotten wood etc - Bad nights sleep due to creaky beds, noisy aircon and a buzzing/whirring noise from another room/boiler/ fridge etc all day and all night which in the end became akin to torture to me! Had to find and use earplugs ! -only 2 electricity points in the room. One behind the desk which the fridge is plugged in to, so to use it you have to move desk and unplug fridge - Lack of mirrors (1, high up above sink in bathroom) - Tv wasn’t working properly, grainy signal - Bathroom was smelly and toilet constantly leaked and left puddle of water on the floor, shower rail fell down and hot water ran out before we all had a chance to shower . needs renovating - 4 towels for 5 people? -restaurant has inconvenient hours of serving food, small portions, everything comes wrapped in cling film (even hot drinks) and is cold on arrival -fridge containing water, coke, beer etc is padlocked and staff leave at night and security guard cannot access it. He did offer to go to the supermarket for us which was kind! All in all, it was a very cheap stay but it wasn’t that enjoyable. We were looking forward to leaving and spent most of our days out. Stay any longer than a couple of nights and you’ll be bored! Tip: try Cyan Sayan for a lovely breakfast/lunch/dinner Great coffee
