D'Djabu Villas Canggu

Definitely the hotel in a good location, and was great when it was first built!! Unfortunately it looks like it never been maintained or renovated!!! Furniture very old , you only have too towels feels like 20 years old !! Tiny AC for a huge ceiling and broken first night ?! Construction site next door nobody worn about it online? You hear every single noise outside your room ?! Even in the next room !! The staff are great and helpful,, the hotel doesn’t have a bar or a shop so if you stuck after 11pm that s it !!! It might be good for young people because it is cheap !!

DOUBLE CHARGED NO REFUND! We arrived at reception and were greeted by a young man that clearly did not know how to operate the check in process. The payment was a nightmare - he made us use two different cards on three different machines and claimed they weren’t working. We are now $350 out of pocket because the transactions cleared on both cards but he claimed they didn’t. When we left we were assured the transaction would be refunded - but it has been over 10 days now and still nothing from D’Jabu! Their responses over email have been slow and show no sign of urgency to resolve the matter - surprising considering they charged us twice for our room!! To make things worse they are now claiming that they don’t have our money despite it having clearly left both of our banks. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

Arrived for 2 night stay, had to hang around as our rooms were not ready Shown to our rooms which are spacious but hard to wheel suitcases on paths as badly designed, our room was upstairs so a lot of stairs . Coffee making facilities in community kitchen shared with hotel block, If you want a sun bed get up early as only 6-8 beds around to pools , No breakfast included so just go next door for that Beware a huge hotel is being built right next to the boundary so site noise all day Beach down the road is not clean but a lot of surfers and the town is ideal for the younger people If visiting again would give this a miss

Pro: Very good location. Nearby many cafes & in the heart of Canggu! Pool is nice, big & clean. Size of the room is very good. Staff are nice & friendly. They have water dispenser & microwave too in their kitchen you may use. The design is very nice & it’s clean & well maintained. It doesn’t feel like a guest house at all, more like a hotel. Con: They had some miscommunication within their team. They couldn’t find our 6 nights booking. After going back & forth, they noticed they overlooked the booking. Asked us to relocate to another Djabu hotel but so much hassle. So instead they got us to check in to room no. 103 for 3 nights & had to move to room no. 101 for the rest of the nights. When we arrived, no staff were in sight. They’re very understaffed. 30 minutes & 10 phone calls later finally the staff showed up. Not one single phone call from the room was answered since there’s no staff at the reception most of the time. Phone in room no. 103 didn’t even work. TV didn’t work. WiFi in room no 103 was TERRIBLE. It kept on telling password was incorrect. Once it got connected it wouldn’t last longer than 1 hour until it got disconnected. Frustrating. Connection in room 101 was so much better they really need to consider placing more routers. But room 101 was smaller. So on top of the hassle, we got downgraded. No soap or shampoo were placed to room no. 101 and over the next days they didn’t bother putting new ones. Would we come back? Maybe!
