Aloft Properties in Bali

The hotel service was excellent. The staff were always smiling, proactive and enthusiastic. They saw us standing at the entrance looking at our phones and immediately came over to ask if we needed directions, then kindly pointed us the way. During breakfast, a supervisor would come around to ask about the food and service, which made us feel incredibly comfortable. The service truly deserves a perfect score. The breakfast, which you can order from a menu, was of a quality that far exceeded the hotel's own rating.

This hotel is located right above a shopping mall, which is super convenient. We were just stopping over in Bali for two days before heading to Komodo, so we mostly needed to do some shopping. For this kind of transitional stay, it was perfect, and it's also close to the airport. However, the value for money isn't great. The hotel facilities are very new, pretty standard overall – nothing amazing, nothing bad. Breakfast was decent. The little surprise came on the second day when we returned to find the staff had fashioned a big-eared baby elephant out of towels, and they even placed it next to my own baby elephant plushie. It was incredibly cute (and we hadn't even left a tip!).
