Azcot Hotel - Nizami Street

The room was spacious, though the lighting wasn't very bright. The bathroom was also large and clean, with hot water available. Basic amenities like soap and shampoo were provided, along with an electric kettle and bottled water. My main issue was with the air conditioning; it was too cold and couldn't be adjusted to warm the room, so I was cold all night. The blanket was very thin, just a single sheet. Another drawback was the three-pin power sockets, which meant I couldn't charge my phone. However, the location on Nizami Street is very strategic. Breakfast was offered, with a good variety of tasty options. Despite the shortcomings, the staff were wonderful. Heartfelt service truly makes a difference. The female chef was exceptionally kind, and the receptionist spoke excellent English and promptly met my requests. The bellboy was also incredibly helpful, especially when the elevator stopped working, as he quickly assisted me with my luggage.

We chose this hotel very carefully, relying on reviews, but it turned out to be a complete waste of money. Everything was terrible except for its proximity to Nizami Street. Although we booked two rooms, one room had no hot water at all. Our friend had to use our room to shower because they couldn't shower in their own. Despite repeatedly reporting the issue, the staff didn't care one bit and offered no solutions. In a cold city like Baku, both the heater/AC was broken, and the TV wasn't working. The room cleaning was just for show; the inside of the refrigerator was full of disgusting yellow stains. If we had only booked one room, we wouldn't have even been able to perform basic personal hygiene. This isn't a hotel; it's more like an unkempt building with beds inside. Don't waste your money on this place where no one tries to help, and even basic services (water, heating, TV) are not provided.

Super centrally located, clean, and unbeatable value for money. Definitely a recommendation if you're in Baku.
