A Hotel Baguio

It was my 4th time in Baguio City and I was with my partner for an advanced holiday leisure trip. We stayed at A Hotel Baguio City and I can say that their best asset is their employees. Red, the Front Desk officer when we arrived, warmly assisted us to all our needs during our check-in. She well represented the hotel’s hospitality service and she’s very helpful. The hotel is strategically located at the commercial district of Baguio were most of the tourist attraction are few walks away from the hotel. However, it could’ve been a nicer place to stay if rooms are a bit sound proof. It was annoying when sounds of the jeepney machines and the busy street of Shuntug bothers us duri ng rush hours. The room we stayed is quite dull and nothing amazed us in the hotel. The hotel rate, for me, does not reflects in the hotel rooms. There is no Safety vault, no flat iron (available upon request with fee), internet service is unstable, the room is just raw; bed, tv and tables only. No place for your luggage. But overall, this place is really nice if you want an accommodation in Baguio City. Good job to the staff of this hotel!
The Manor at Camp John Hay

Everything is to our liking , a great stay experience as always. And the staff are extremely nice and accommodating in keeping with their , I say 5-star category. Staying in Manor has a feel of luxury, while enjoying nature, and the magnificent views, gives you momentary respite from life’s daily grind and the hustle and bustle of the city. The suite is very spacious, furniture are comfy, good kitchen space. And the three balconies are spacious. Love love the comp refreshments and wine (cab Sauvignon no less) with my name customized in the welcome note. They make you feel important , comfy, and taken care of. And you don’t want to ever leave the hotel as they also offer great delectable foods. And for the price, it’s sooo worth it!! Enjoy the lounge live music while you’re at it.
456 Hotel

This is a budget hotel and is rated as such. Its a bit of an odd hotel as it tries to be something else. Location is easy to find and is about 20 min walk to Burnham park and the centre. Its easily seen in the city if you get lost as there is a large 456 sign lit in red to guide you home. Plenty of parking on various levels. Room was quite basic despite being sold as deluxe. Bed was very hard with only 2 pillows. Large bathroom and shower with plenty hot water. Basic condiments supplied with 2 towels.AC was fitted but not used as i think u hire the control from reception to use it. Lots of useless cupboards and a safe at the bottom of a cupboard on the floor which was odd. TV was ok with lots channels including cable. Kettle was supplied and mugs. Oddly enough no small fridge which i kind of wanted. A large bay window with great city view but no chair or table to make use of it and a total waste of space as such. The room was clean and well serviced bit tired. We had the 100 php breakfast which is ordered in a strange way but it was tasty and arrived on time. Staff are pleasant and helpful. You pay for what you get with no good or bad surprises. Would i use it again, well yes why not at that price its a bed. Make the most of what you have and you can't go wrong. Plenty taxi pass by its on one of the major city routes in.
Prestige Vacation Apartments - Bonbel Condominium

The condominium location was on a very good location near the tourist spots and food joints/restaurants. Our studio unit was clean and tiny but during our stay, unfortunately, there was a brownout due to an electric post that was damaged when a tree fell on it. This resulted to us using the stairs to our 5th floor unit with our luggages sthe elevator was not working and that was not fun at all. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. Our room was a corner unit so we had dual balconies and we got good views and fresh air. I will definitely come back here again in thefuture.

This is a hotel that your baby boomer parents & titas would like, mine certainly did. Design looks a bit dated (or that's what they are going for?), classic Baguio-feels, but facilities are maintained and staff are well-trained. They even got fresh flower arrangement decors and manicured gardens to boot. Hotel looks small at a glance but rooms are big on the inside. They can even accommodate two busloads of people without feeling cramped, even on breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, theirs is good, mostly Filipino dishes and more. What I liked the most is the design of the room. We were a group of 6 adults, a kid, and an infant, and we fit comfortably on their family room. They have a table which is nice for coffee (which they provide along with tea bags, cups, and an electric kettle). Being with a big group means a longer queue to a single bathroom, right? Not if you have two separate shower rooms and a door-separated toilet, which is a thoughtful touch along with providing basic toiletries. This is one of the reason I would most likely book here again since we usually go to Baguio with a big group. The only cons I see is that 1. there's no elevator going down to basement rooms, which might be an issue to seniors (my senior companions - 60ish, didn't mind the short flight of stairs though); 2. location is a bit far from city center/business district (it's nearer to Wright Park).
Grand Sierra Pines Baguio

Probably the best pet-friendly hotel in Baguio. Travelled with 2 Frenchies and the hotel charged P750 per pet per night. Pros: 1. Pet Friendly Dogs can almost roam around the hotel. It has a big garden where they can play around and relieved themselves. Only downside they are not allowed at their in-house restaurant Outlook Grill which is weird because they have alfresco. What I love about the hotel is you can eat with them during the breakfast buffet. 2. Breakfast Buffet Good spread. Bacon is served daily. There’s an egg and taho station. You need to be there as they open (6am) if you want warm food. Hotel’s design is an open concept at the atrium. Can get cold in the morning. 3. Big Room Rooms are very spacious and with veranda. Can get noisy especially for the road-side rooms. Cons: 1. Pricey Room rate starts at P6000 inclusive of breakfast for 2 plus the pet fee. But did some math. Was comparing it with Giraffe Hotel and Ozark with rates at P4000. Ended up not minding paying extra staying at a bigger and full service property. 2. Hot Shower Shower didn’t have a hot water running. It was warm at best. 3. Cable TV Room only had 13 channels. We were just watching YouTube for the entire stay.
