We stayed at Steigenberger Hotel for one night, and at the entrance it was exactly how you would expect a five star hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, that can help you where and when needed. Though when we got to the room itself we had a little unpleasant surprise. The room itself was nice, good view over the Rhine and the interior is nice. But when I dropped my phone and it fell under the bed, I went to pick it up and underneath the bed was a dirty tissue with a substance on it that looked to be semen. Also when I shined my flashlight under it to take a video of it, I found a pair of socks from the previous guests. This indicates the room was not really cleaned properly. There also was a lot of dust on the bedside tables, and a lot underneath the bed (which I myself don’t mind as it’s a hard place to vacuum). Not really up to the high five star standard, but the rest was really good. Nice views with a good bed and spacious room. The Biergarten is also beautiful, especially at sunset. I have to give it 4/5 because of the stuff we found in the room, for the rest it was a very pleasant stay.

The breakfast was great and the restaurant was beautiful and looked at the Rhine. Parking is free, but it is actually stopping the road outside the hotel. Some of them are 120-year-old buildings, but some rooms are newly decorated with a large smell. I changed the room once. There is no air conditioning. All of the air conditioners are free to use. Gayfriendly. Super friendly and engaged staff. Very helpful. Very clean, everything is entirely newly renovated. Very modern furnished. We felt very well here and immediately at home. A very nice indoor courtyard with green area, which invites to relax.

We stayed for a couple of nights at the Kameha Grand in Bonn. The location is great for walking and cycling and about 15 mins drive from the centre of Bonn on the other sider of the river. Lots of very safe cycle paths everywhere. Our junior suite was large and very comfortable. Strangely, the mini-bar was empty, but I did not find out why. The styling would not be to everyones taste, but I certainly liked it and the hotel is flooded with light. Breakfast was very good with the usual offerings. We made use of the swimming pool on the 3rd floor in the spa, which was heated and overlooks the Rhine. We found the staff to be extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable throughout. We used Uber to get around Bonn, although the service only recently came to Bonn and the service was a bit patchy. Be prepared to wait for longer than you would in bigger cities such as Berlin. We did not try any of the restaurants at the Kameha as we were only there for a short while. If anyone needs a recommendation, try Oscar in der Remise, about 8 minutes away by car. For travellers to Germany, bring cash as the country is still behind the times and a bit analogue. The lovely Rheinlust beer garden about 10mins drive away does not accept any form of credit cards. Some taxi drivers also struggled with electronic payment. Looking forward to returning to the Kameha

Not the easiest place to find, but nicely situated in a quiet location outside of the main city area, with plenty of parking space. Friendly welcome at reception and easy check-in. Room was large and very clean. A lovely shower with plenty of water pressure. There was no bar service the night we stayed, but it was possible to get a drink with dinner. Food was good, but service rather slow.... very long delay between first and main courses and prices rather on the high side. Skipped breakfast, as it's hard to imagine what can justify a charge of 24euro a head to partake. Overall a good stay though, with friendly service and a good night's sleep.

This hotel is not close to Bonn; city centre bit of in the middle of nowhere , no access to food or shops. The longest checkin was at this hotel if they take this long they should provide a chair as checkin takes ages for one person. Hotel was not busy at all. It is a bit of dated hotel, no room service, restaurant closes at 9pm limited choices. The room was basic no fridge and ask for amenities. The bed was a strange low bed, not European standard with thin layer of sheet and duvet. No taxi service available if or airport pick up. Just did not seem 4* experience at all. No Accor member benefits. ( no water provided). Breakfast- basic but at least some vegetarian options and some labelled and some not. Checkout was a lot smoother and done well by the staff.

We stayed for 2 nights to visit the Christmas market (Weihnachtsmarkt) at Bonn and Cologne. Perfect distance to both cities. Going there, signs to the hotel are not very visible. At night it was impossible to find the hotel without Google Maps. Check in time is supposed to be at 15.00 but we already had our key around 13.30. We were given a spacious room on the second floor facing the parking area and big container bins. No airco, only a tower fan hidden in the big wardrobe. There were 2 windows with heater underneath. In the morning when we opened the windows, we could hear lovely sound of birds chirping outside. The room had big LCD TV with German channels and BBC. No waterheater. Beds were soft and comfy with two big soft pillows and one little one. Comforter was warm enough in the winter. While the room has no odor at all, the bathroom is a different story. The shower/bathtub smells of damp, also has black spots on the wall. Water pressure in the shower could use great improvement. Breakfast is served from 7.00 until 10.00 (weekends) with many varieties of bread, meat, cheese, and fruit. The sausages that go with eggs and bacon were very delicious. Coffee is served by the waitress with medium coffeepot left on the table. Tea drinking is self-service with great selections of tea. Little teapots for hot water are nearby. The waitress gladly brought us hot water when we forgot. Although the hotel folder stated Wi-Fi connection is 1 euro per code/gadget, when we checked out, there was no extra charge for Wi-Fi. All in all, we had an enjoyable stay.

We had to check in very late (about 02:30), but that was not a problem at all. The service was very friendly and helpful. We had booked a room for 3 people over Booking.com that was unfortunately no longer available on site. We were fully unproblematic and without additional costs ”distributed” to two Comfort double rooms and received another drink from the house bar for free as an excuse. The rooms themselves are very well equipped and comfortable. The included breakfast was the “hammer” and very rich and varied. Of us absolutely recommended. A parking house is right next to and has not cost us anything.

JJ BThe conference hotel Seminaris in Bad Honnef was built in 1986 and offers 211 rooms over 5 floors. There are 18 large meeting rooms, restaurant, bar, swimming pool and sauna. Staffs are friendly and welcoming. In the lobby of the hotel there is a stele of a mounted Roman soldier. At walking distance you find the Rhine River and the Drachsenfels where Siegfried – the hero of the Nibelungen – killed the dragon Fáfnir. Our room was adequately furnished and decorated with desk, chair & safe, flat-screen TV and wardrobe. We had a good twin bed, and a separate bathroom with toilet, washroom & shower. All was clean. The window can be open but has no mosquito screen. Free Wi-Fi Internet. No free coffee & tea nor free parking. The buffet breakfast is OK with ample variety: powder based scrambled eggs, cold cuts, bread and rolls, juices, cereals, fruit, milk, yoghurt, fruit juice, tea & coffee. The atmosphere in the Seminaris hotel is conference & business style and we had an OK stay.

GGuest UserThe following is a purely subjective review: - It is a hotel that is a little more difficult to find at the moment. We have passed almost twice at the entrance. Very fast Check Inn with - in our case - very friendly and very customer-oriented receptionist. A later complaint (*) was immediately handled and solved to our satisfaction. - Booked room: Comfort room with free deep garage parking. Good and smoothly functioning free Wi-Fi with sufficient connectivity in the room. A room safe would have been nice. Unfortunately we have not found a safe. Very large flat screen TV. Small balcony with two chairs to the indoor. In the night it was very quiet despite open balcony door. The balcony door was equipped with an electric sun rollo. There was a large whole body wall spiegel with about 100 cm diameter. Unfortunately there were little deposition areas. Confortable double bed with each reading spot left and right. Bad/WC with a disabled and old-age-fit shower with shower hanging. Satirical note to the bath: The toilet top (too high) was fitted for giants and the washing basin (very deep) appeared to be for eggs. - Breakfast: We believed that quality and quantity were all right. (*1) On one day we received no room service until 15:00. After we had advertised this, we received a 5 Euro Drink voucher in compensation.
