Hotel Fürstenhof

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal hier, beide Male zufrieden gewesen. Spa Bereich sehr gut.

We went to the restaurant today for Mother's Day. There was a four-course meal, and I have to say, we haven't eaten as well as we did tonight in a long time. It was delicious, beautifully presented, and at €49, a real bargain. Highly recommended!

The hotel staff (especially in the restaurant) discriminates against people who are not German. We reported the problems encountered to the hotel manager and no goodwill gesture (except €6 for free parking!) was offered unless we came back to the hotel! We also had a problem with the curtains in the room (which are too small and therefore wake you up at 6 a.m.). The bedding is a bit hard and there is no headrest so it is quite uncomfortable when you want to read. Breakfast is okay but they do not restock and provide insufficient quantities compared to the number of guests. The restaurant staff does not speak English or almost not and is totally disorganized and disrespectful. There is a coffee machine but the staff does not want to use it to serve you (or at least not if you are not German!) (and it is not usable by the guests themselves so you are only allowed a coffee in a thermos). Paid parking (12€ per night to be close otherwise you have to park at the entrance to the city and pay 3€ per night!). The hotel is also quite old and could do with a refresh and cleaning of the carpets on the 3rd floor (big stain right in front of the elevator). The area is pretty and full of other hotels, so avoid this one.

We booked a double room with half-board for three nights over Easter. Upon arrival, we had to wait three hours for our room. It turned out we were assigned a single room. I tried several times to convince the receptionist that we had the wrong room (15m² instead of 26m² and a bed of 140x200cm instead of 180x200cm), but she kept insisting it was the right room. After 20 minutes, she lied, claiming she had called me the day before arrival and that I had agreed to the small room........????!!!!!!! According to the hotel, we hadn't booked half-board. After I proved we had, this was eventually corrected. The "cheaper" wines were out of stock at dinner, even though they are listed on the menu. The fish fillet was full of bones!! The next evening, when I ordered a 0.5-liter beer at dinner, I received a 0.4-liter one. The third evening, we had to wait an hour for the main course. The hotel couldn't handle the crowds at all. Far too few staff at reception, the restaurant, and housekeeping. The bill at checkout was incorrect. (Dinner was charged even though we were half board.)

After the change of ownership there is still room for improvement. Ms. Sartika from reception and her colleagues are very friendly. Our room was clean, the wellness area was good, breakfast was good and sufficient but there were not enough staff; the staff who served us on site were very friendly. You can see that everyone is trying hard and I also noticed what the expression "skilled labor shortage" means. My wife wanted to order a glass of Crémant, but the server didn't know what that was - oh well, it can happen. But I think that in time the Fürstenhof will shine again in its former glory like it did under the Häcker family - that would be great! We would definitely come back if there was an offer like the one from Hotel.de.

Hotel rustique mais tout à fait dans l ambiance de la région Bel accueil, hotel bien tenu ,chambre très agréable et on apprécie le spa par contre le spa fermé le dimanche matin donc a prendre en compte si vous y passez le week-end Assez décevant! Très bon petit déjeuner c suffisant de bon produits régionaux On y va pour le calme ,, le calme et le repos

Ein spontaner, sehr schöner kurztrip. Das Hotel war sehr schön, sauber und der Ort ist einfach nur knuffig. Meine Frau hat den Wellnessbereich sehr genossen und auch die zubuchbaren Massagen und Anwendungen waren eine Wohltat für sie. Das Personal war immer freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstücks Buffet bot jede Menge Leckereien. Wären gerne länger geblieben. Ein Wiedersehen ist sehr wahrscheinlich.

Sehr schönes, altehrwürdiges Hotel mit eigener Therme und Wellnessbereich. Sicherlich hier und da renovierungsbedürftig. Service insgesamt sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, auch wenn uns der Reinigungsservice bei unserer spontanen Verlängerung im Stich gelassen hat. Frühstück sehr gut. Speisenauswahl im Restaurant überschaubar, aber alles in guter Qualität und lecker. Spa/Wellnes sehr sauber und einfach schön, mit vielen Möglichkeiten. Auch hier wäre das eine oder andere Upgrade vonnöten. Eine Anmerkung: wenn ich als Hausherr den Zutritt zum Spa an unter 16 jährige untersage, dann habe ich mich auch um die Umsetzung dieser Regel zu kümmern. Dann kann es nicht sein, dass Eltern mit Kindern oder mit bewindelten Babies imThermal- Pool herumtollen. Zimmer sind ausreichend groß geraten und ausgestattet. Sehr schöne Sitzgelegenheit/Cafe im Kurgarten. Alles in allem ein schönes Hotel mit Luft nach oben im eher tristen Bad Bertrich.

Ich war zum 2. Mal innerhalb des letzten Jahres für ein Wochenende im Hotel Fürstenhof. Es ist ein sehr schönes, stilvolles Hotel mit eigenem Thermenbereich. Es liegt aber auch nur 100 Meter von der großen Vulkaneifel Therme. Die Einzelzimmer sind außerordentlich geräumig und gut ausgestattet (wahrscheinlich die Doppelzimmer auch), aber es ist schon etwas besonderes, so schöne Einzelzimmer zu finden. Ich habe den Saunabereich nicht besucht, aber das kleine Schwimmbad hat eine sehr schöne Atmosphäre und eine Jacuzzi-Ecke. Ich habe auch eine sehr angenehme Fürstenmassage im Spa genossen. Das Frühstücksbuffet hat wirklich alles, was man sich wünschen könnte. Sogar am Sonntagmorgen, als der Andrang groß war, wurde alles schnell wieder aufgefüllt. Ein Höhepunkt des Besuches war das Abendessen im Hotelrestaurant, wo man auch a la carte bestellen kann, wenn man ein ganzes Menü nicht schafft. Die Speisen waren wirklich perfekt zubereitet. Ich werde das nächste Mal wahrscheinlich Halbpension buchen. Parken ist schwierig. Sie haben einige sehr kleine, schwer zu erreichende Parkplätze gegenüber des Hotels für 12€ pro Tag. Am unteren Ende der Stadt kann man für 3 € am Tag parken, aber es ist nur zu empfehlen, wenn man gut laufen kann. Näher ist der Parkplatz Vulkan Therme, der auch 12€ pro Tag kostet, der aber für Tageskarte-Inhaber der Therme für einen Tag kostenlos ist. Man sollte auch wissen, dass man als Hotelgast Ermäßigung bei der Vulkan Therme bekommt (habe ich leider erst bei der Abreise erfahren - einziger Wermutstropfen).
