Mercure Ayr Hotel

The rooms are showing their age but are clean and comfortable. The food was good and staff friendly and efficient. Location is excellent.

The room was comfortable and clean, and great for our brief stay. Parking wasn't clearly signed and it wasn't clear that there was an additional fee for parking until we were checking in (£8, and it covered until 12pm the following day), but the staff were all really friendly and helpful.

Not happy This is the second time I have stayed in the mercure, first time ok .  Went down hill asked to check in early as we were going to a wedding. If they have a room available which didn't know till 11am that morning, we would need to pay extra £50.  Went back to hotel after wedding people couldn't get luggage room open  Next morning breakfast all I can say was dried up .  Went to check out girl said that is u everything paid I asked if we could leave car in car park said it would be ok but just put number in just incase  as we r were covered till 12pm which is when we checked  All of a sudden we had to pay £7  But was clear 5mins earlier  Won't be back there again .

Very poor for the price. Lacked simple amenities such as a fridge .

Staff great .Room good but housekeeping did not replenish drinking water or biscuits which was disappointing

Great size room. Lovely staff. Comfy bed & wonderful view. Definitely would stay here again.

The room was spotless. Reception was good, and had no issues at all. Had a meal in restaurant. Meal was superb and the young young staff member that served us was efficient and curtious. Breakfast was also good. Overall experience was great. Been a long time since i used this hotel. Would have no issues booking again.
