Hotel Boutique Isla Canela Golf

In July this year, my husband and I returned to Isla Canela where we had already been about 6 years ago. The seaside resort of Isla Canela is an extremely quiet place even in summer, located in the province of Huelva, close to the Portuguese border. Isla Canela is a natural island connected to Ayamonte by a bridge. This micro island has a resident population of just 250 people. The 7 km stretch of beautiful golden sandy beaches are the main attraction of this resort. The protected natural environment has rich fauna and navigable channels. This time we chose the Isla Canela Golf hotel, as we really wanted to rest and it seemed like the best option. The location of the hotel is not the best, it is about 3kms from the beaches. However, it is closer to the city and in a very quiet place. Our room was very pleasant and spacious. The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool and a golf course. The hotel spaces denoted good taste and some refinement in their decoration. The staff was efficient and friendly, especially the Brazilian restaurant employee with whom we naturally created an automatic empathy relationship. On less positive notes I must mention the mosquitoes, which are a problem to be taken into consideration, I was bitten repeatedly even with repellent. I also have to mention that breakfast disappointed me, as I expected a hotel of this quality to have more variety, particularly in terms of pastries. Regarding dinner (we were on a half-board basis), although excellent, it had gourmet quality and left a lot to be desired in terms of quantities. I believe that paying around 35 eur per person without drinks and being hungry is not at all pleasant.

Spacious room with views of the golf course, very clean. Very quiet with a large terrace and garden. The staff is very pleasant and attentive. Ideal to spend a few days of rest even if we don't play golf.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 days and I highly recommend it. Super nice hotel with beautiful decor. Room always clean. Super friendly staff. Super complete breakfast. Wonderful food. Very beautiful outdoor space It only has a swimming pool, not very large but pleasant, and with access for people with reduced mobility.

Very quiet hotel, well-conditioned and very professional and friendly staff, highlighting Rocío, who recommended excellent places for sightseeing and eating well. The experience has been first class and highly recommended.

A hotel with a lot of potential, it is beautiful and with a pleasant decoration, the views are very good being in the middle of nature, but its staff is very dry, not very pleasant to be in front of the public. Even if you have a problem, they don't follow up with the guest like in other hotels, they see you, and they don't even ask you if the problem has been solved, they completely ignore you, except for Cristina at the reception and Rocío (one of their waitresses) which are the most pleasant. The pool, even though it is in the middle of the countryside, as they say, does not have decent maintenance, the joints at the bottom of the pool are black, the leaves that fall, can be sunken in the same place for days and days (that means who do not clean funds daily, no matter how much they say they do). Breakfast is always the same, they don't have it conditioned for the heat, the cheeses, donuts.... melted, the "hot buffet" just the opposite: you find everything cold (eggs, omelette, sausages... .), not to mention that even if you come down with half an hour to spare before the buffet closes you have to constantly ask them to replenish most of the things... it becomes uncomfortable that they don't pay enough attention. The rooms are spacious, remodeled, except for the bathroom, which is not renovated and does not have much privacy with the glass door it has. The beds are not the most comfortable in the world, they are spring-loaded and if you get one that hasn't been changed, your back will suffer. The super soft pillows are like sleeping directly on the mattress, in this they should improve, rest is the main thing in a 4 star hotel. Sometimes, it is difficult to be on the terraces because there is a terrible smell, since they are right in front of a treatment plant and the smell comes with the air. Very wasted hotel, which would have everything to be a piece of hotel, but the neglect in many cases means that it does not work as it should.

Spacious room for three people, with two beds pushed together for a double and one 90 in an attached cabin. WC with shower and bathtub. Good cleaning. Friendly staff. Small pool, but little frequented. It does not have a lifeguard. Good anti-COVID measures in the breakfast buffet. In general everything very good

Instalaciones excelentes y limpias. El trato del personal muy cordial y amable. Eficacia en los horarios y en el servicio de habitaciones. Recomiendo éste hotel, como lugar de vacaciones por su ubicación y cercanía con núcleos de deporte y recreo, asi como con visitas a Portugal.
