Posada El Convento Mercedario by Ĥ

We arrived at 11 08 for the 'all inclusive" breakfast ( which we had enjoyed the week before) and were refused by the cook as she said last orders had to be placed at 11am. I pointed out that the hotel advertises breakfast is available until 11 30 on all its signage . She admitted their advertising and signage needs to be changed. I explained we'd driven 20 miles as it was our daughter's last day of her holiday but she wouldn't budge even though there we were the only customers there. She then proceeded to chat to her co-worker for approx 20 mins so she obviously wasn't busy just being pedantic!! I can highly recommend the Parador where the staff are wonderful and can't do enough plus the breakfast is superb!

We stayed for 1 night while visiting friends in Aymonte. The location is fantastic, easy walking distance to the bars and restaurants. parking is a slightly different story, we parked down by the Marina and walked up . Roof top Bar is great . Easy check in and Check out

Nice location within easy walk of the whole town. Not really a hotel more like apartments with no reception and very few staff. Roof terrace bar was nice but breakfasts very limited and due to poor weather we were unable to use the facilities one day. Our request to have breakfast in the main hotel was rejected which I don’t fully understand. Bed was very hard and uncomfortable but room was clean & tidy. Overall just OK but let down by the breakfast choice and options.

Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, superb shower. Friendly, helpful staff. Once you have got "your bearings" it is easy walking distance to the commercial/shopping centre of Ayamonte. The rooftop bar has fabulous views across the town. It is not the easiest place to find without very clear directions. Parking in the immediate vicinity is difficult. Our apartment was well equipped, but lacking in any instructions for use. Ask the staff. Excellent value for money.

Wow!!! I have been to Ayamonte several times over the last few years and spent many evenings in the old town but never come across this place. Off one of the back streets you just walk into hotel and go up to the roof bar. What a beautiful spot and fabulous view over the town and out to sea. We arrived just as sun setting and was spectacular. Cool atmosphere, great decor and very friendly bar staff. Cocktails were stunning and fresh, lovely hidden gem and will definitely be paying a visit next time I am in town
