Great location in walking distance to the Plaka and the Acropolis. The roof top terrace is sensational with spectacular views across Athens and to the Acropolis & worth staying just for this experience. Dinner and breakfast are both served on the terrace & the food is very good. The hotel looks smart but showing some wrinkles around the edges. My room was quite large with a good sized outside terrace. But the room has a great shortage of power points for plugging in devices and I had to use the bedside lamp plug. The bed is two twins which I don’t like & the bath / shower had nowhere to hang the shower hose & the bath was very narrow. The wifi is very slow. There are a few English channels on the TV. The hotel is very popular with tour groups & so gets quite crowded, busy and noisy. But a pleasant stay, conveniently located with the terrace restaurant view the outstanding feature.

This hotel is not big, but the location is good, just 2 or 3 minutes walk to the entrance to the Acropolis. The hygiene in the room is very good. I ordered it earlier and it tastes good! This is the most satisfying hotel for this trip.

Well, well, well, what can i write or say about this gem. The Electra Palace Hotel, located bang in the middle of downtown Athens is absolutely superb. Everything the city has to offer is within walking distance from the hotel. The view of the Acropolis from our room is spectacular, not to mention the to ”die-for” view from the 8th floor restaurant - you can ”touch” the Acropolis from here!😄 The breakfast at the Electra Palace is top notch and is delicious. The service at the hotel is top notch, and one of the best I have ever experienced in over 30 years of travelling. The staff, from the concierge to the receptionists, and restaurant staff, all provided extremely high professional services. I will single out George, the receptionist, who made us feel extremely welcome with one of the biggest smiles and professional services I have ever experienced. George has a saying each time we interacted with him, and it was ”each time you smile, good things will always come your way.” This saying came through when George found my brand new Samsung Ear Bud after I lost it and the hotel began a whole day of searching inside the hotel and outside at the restaurants we visited. Thank you, George, you're the best. Also, Dimitris, who helped us with our luggages was fantastic. All in all, Electra Palace Hotel is a superb hotel, and we will definitely go back there.

Coco-Mat became famous for the mattresses and natural products they create and staying in one of their hotels makes you understand why. + First off, the attention to detail is really something, the cleanliness and the fact that most of the items in the room as well as in the entire hotel, are made from natural materials (as most of them are sold by the company this makes sense, but they also collaborate with like-minded vendors, like the one of the hangers for instance - see photo). Even the room's ceiling was beautiful! I loved the ambience, the lobby was very cosy and beautifully decorated for Christmas. The neighborhood is one of the best in Athens, 500m. from the closest metro station and the Cycladic & Byzantin Museums are right around the corner. I didn't get a chance to taste the menu at the restaurant, but all looked delicious - hopefully next time! Also, in terms of cleanliness 10/10 for me, regarding the room as well as all public spaces. I'd like to save the best for last: THE bed. It was one of the best sleeps I've had in my entire life and it really exceeded my expectations! It is undoubtedly the most comfortable matress I've slept on and even though I have a chronic back pain, I did not feel any discomfort whatsoever. Sooo worth it! Ps. 1. small detail but worth mentioning: the breakfast plates are gorgeous - kudos to whomever chose them!! (see photo) Ps. 2. the breakfast was delicious with many savory and sweet options to choose from :-) Ps. 3. Comp mini-bar with refreshments was a great gesture! - There were 2 things that unfortunately did not lived up to my standards. First and foremost, personnel: I found it strange that while, during c/i, the FO associate tried to show me around and escort me to my room, a cleaning lady was in between and did not move nor greeted/acknowledged us. During breakfast: the personnel, although very polite, was often absent, leading a few of the guests searching/waiting for them. It wasn't quite clear what we were supposed to do, mostly regarding covid regulations: when I sat to my table, they brought placemats etc. but did not explain how it works - if it is self-service, what are the à la carte choices, etc. When I decided to stand up and walk towards the food station, they explained I needed to wear gloves before self-serving, but nothing about where to throw them afterwards - and I looked for a bin but didn't find one. Another guest walked in after me and as there was no staff around, he did not wear gloves-again no clearly-mentioned rules. At some point I asked for juice and the woman who delivered it (again, very polite) did not seem to be staff, judging from her outfit (I'm not sure if she had just finished her shift and did it as a favor to another colleague or if she even worked there at all..). The location of the hotel is first-class, next to the Greek Police Headquarters, there is no problem with security. The breakfast at the hotel only has Western food. It’s okay to eat two meals. I’m not used to eating too much, but the restaurant for breakfast has a first-class view, and you can see the Acropolis. Athens' luxury stores, women's market, the largest department store, Chinese restaurant, and the Capitol are all within a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. There is a free heated swimming pool and sauna on the ba*****t floor of the hotel. According to locals, this is the best hotel in Athens.

Booked two rooms for a three day stay and both rooms were comfortable and quiet. The bathroom in my room was smaller than my daughters but for me it was fine. Small bath but I managed to use it. The staff are great and breakfast was a good start to the day ahead. Nice coffee. Our flight back to the uk was cancelled due to air traffic control going on strike and the hotel let us stay another night without any fuss even letting us stay in the same rooms. All in all I have no regrets booking this hotel and for the price it’s a great choice. Reception booked our taxi to the airport and it was a fixed price of 40 euros.

The company we received before helped us make a reservation for a few days, and then I didn’t want to move around, so I continued to renew the subscription at his house. The rooms are big and well-appointed, with a quiet courtyard -- a real oasis from the bustle of Athens. The desk clerks could not have been more friendly and helpful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

After a very stressful few days in Athens we were glad to come across this little hotel to get our heads down for the night. Sadly we had been victims of pickpockets who stole our phones, bank cards and a passport. The Greek police were not helpful at all. We found very few people who made us feel welcome so it was wonderful to be greeted with a smile at the Zappion. The staff were very helpful and our breakfast was lovely. More over we had not booked and had just walked in off the street but we were accommodated regardless. We had stayed at hotel Stanley prior to this which was much more expensive and despite being a fancy hotel it was in a rough area with busy traffic and the notorious pickpockets. Zappion is clean, close to the sites and in a nice quiet street with everything you might need on your trip. Highly recommended if you want hospitality, peace and quiet and a nice breakfast.

Amazing. The location of the hotel is ideal and I would say everything is within a good walking distance. A lot of good food places nearby (recommend trying the pizza place). Hotel staff were amazing , check-in time may differ as we had to wait a little extra for our room to be ready but this was not an issue and hotel staff were able to accommodate us and we were told the minibar fridge was free :) The hotel is very safe and secure. The technology used to access the buildings and rooms are state of the art. This blew my mind away! Every single staff member smiled at us and the cleaners were very helpful and our room would be spotless after going out and coming back.
