Vienna Hotel (Anqiu World Trade Center)

Facilities: Very good, excellent. Cleanliness: Clean and tidy, attentive service. Environment: Excellent, everything is new, feels safe and secure. Service: Warm and attentive, basically meets all requirements.

The room was spotless and hygienic, making for a very pleasant stay. They even upgraded me to a lake-view room free of charge. The breakfast was clean and hygienic, and the gym was also good. Highly recommended.

I booked a river-view room. The room was huge, clean, and the environment was quite nice. It was right by the river; you could see the river as soon as you opened the curtains. I don't know what it's called, though. There's also a food street behind the hotel; the local food was delicious 😋.

The hotel in 2024 was filthy and disorganized. The lounge chairs and benches were covered in oil and even bloodstains; the kettles were dusty and smelled foul. Oil stains on the floor were the least of my worries; other guests' hair was everywhere. The electrical outlets were broken and wouldn't stay in place. During my last stay, I was 26 minutes late checking out due to a conference call, and the front desk threatened to charge me a fee if I didn't leave a good review. A regional manager called to apologize and discuss the refund. However, the hotel was hypocritical, telling me to check out through an app, and the app didn't even have any options. The cleanliness was appalling, and the service and awareness were equally poor.

1. The hotel facilities are outdated, and compared to Huazhu or other hotels, the price of 203 is extremely poor value for money. 2. Most importantly, the service is exceptionally bad. Check-out was at 2 PM, and I called to urge them before 1:30 PM. I was on a conference call in my room at 2 PM, and check-out time was 1:26 PM. The front desk staff actually said they would charge for the late check-out. This is outrageous and absurd. Even small guesthouses don't do this, let alone chain hotels. I casually mentioned that Huazhu Group hotels usually allow for extended check-out times in special circumstances. The front desk's response was: "Sorry, we're part of the Jinjiang Group." Compared to Huazhu, Jinjiang is inferior in terms of quality control, brand, and revenue, yet they constantly send people to Huazhu to "steal" their skills—what have they learned?! 3. The front desk demanded good reviews, using the 26-minute late check-out as an excuse to charge a fee. Good reviews are earned through service, not through threats. In other words, if they want a good review, they might give one against their conscience for the sake of performance targets, but threatening customers for good reviews is just unbelievable. 4. Poor soundproofing, extremely noisy. Overall: Very unfriendly to business travelers, let alone tourist accommodations.

The staff were very friendly and even gave us a kite sticker as a small gift. The location was also good. The only downsides were that the carpets and chairs weren't very clean, and the breakfast wasn't very tasty or varied. However, the rooms were cheap and offered great value for money.

I stayed at the Vienna Hotel in Haiyang before and remembered the rooms being a bit small, so I didn't want to stay there again. This time, I accidentally discovered this hotel had larger rooms and was surprised to find it was part of the Jinjiang Hotel group, so I booked two nights. The room size was okay, but the layout was not very practical. The vanity was small, and there wasn't enough space for toiletries. The lack of a nightlight was inconvenient, especially the breakfast area, which was rather small and the food was very simple—noodles and wontons were DIY.
