I was looking to take my mum to Amsterdam and found this to be just the place for couple of quiet and cosy nights. Room was clean and tidy, I loved that we had our desk and kettle with essentials provided for us. Reception staff was very kind and helpful. We didn't spend much time apart from resting and sleeping and it was a perfect option for us as we explored the (heart of) town that was 30 mins by walk from the hotel. Hotel is affordable compared to other prices that can be found closer to central station, however one of the main canals was 5 mins walk from the hotel which was a pleasure to experience especially in warmer months when you don't have to worry about crazy rain attacks.

Me and my wife stayed at Hotel Allure in Amsterdam from 27. - 30. May 2024 and were highly disappointed with our experience. Despite the calm location and proximity to the city center, several issues made my stay quite unpleasant. Firstly, we encountered bed bugs, which is absolutely unacceptable for any hotel. My wife got bitten almost 30 times. We then could change the room for our last night, but she got another 3 bites. This not only caused discomfort but also raised serious concerns about the cleanliness and hygiene standards of the establishment. The carpets in the room were another major issue. They were filthy and looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in ages. In fact, they were so dirty that they could be described as a "cum rag," which is a shocking and disgusting state for any hotel room. Additionally, parts of our first room were incredibly dusty. It was clear that the cleaning staff had not done their job properly, as surfaces were covered in a noticeable layer of dust. Given these problems, the rather high price of the hotel is completely unjustified. I expected much better for the cost. A (partly) refund would be appreciated. While the location of Hotel Allure is rather calm and still conveniently close to the center, this alone does not compensate for the severe cleanliness and hygiene issues. I would not recommend staying here until these problems are addressed. And by that I mean some renovations including removing the carpets.

My experience at the Allure hotel in Amsterdam was overall quite unfortunate. From the moment we arrived, we were informed that the elevator was not working, which forced us to carry our heavy suitcases up uncomfortable stairs. Despite staying there for four days, the elevator was never repaired. Upon entering the room, we found a huge spider on the wall. We immediately informed the reception and the receptionist eliminated it with a vacuum cleaner. However, when we were about to go to bed, we noticed that the sheets and pillows were dirty. Although they were changed, we felt uncomfortable and skeptical. The next day, upon returning to our room, we found another spider on the ceiling. This time, the spider hid in the lamp and the hotel staff did not provide us with any solution. We slept that night with the spider as our companion. In addition to these problems, the room had a red carpet and a generally dirty appearance. There was also a hole in the wall. It is frustrating to me that despite paying a considerable amount for the room, no measures were taken to solve the problems that arose. I understand that unforeseen issues can arise, but my annoyance lies in the fact that nobody cared to try and solve the problems and provide us with a satisfactory experience. Frankly, I expected better service and a room that matched the qualities offered in a hotel of this level.

I had beg bugs in room 205. It took me a while to realise this as I didn't expect it at all! And because I was very busy and distracted with a work conference, and initially thought they were gnat bites or something. But after every night I'd have more bites on my hands, shoulders, arms and back. On the 4th day I reported this, and this is the point where I can either excuse the hotel as one of those rare events, or make you guys aware of a negligent place. Unfortunately, I'm going for the latter. They initially dismissed it it as just mosquito bites. So I explained that I've been bitten by both, and this was clearly bedbugs. I also pointed out that there were doctors in my conference who confirmed it was bedbugs. They then provisionally offered me a day's refund, which they later retracted. I asked for them to change my room. They refused. I didn't have the time, especially with the conference ongoing, to change hotels. I at least asked for bags to seal up my clothes so I didn't carry the bedbugs home, or  they wouldn't spread when I got home. They didn't even provide this! On the last day, I thought they would give me a refund for most of my 6 day stay, given it had been miserable, with a lot of pain and itching (I had about 30 bites by this point). They refused to give me any refund, but said they'd be in touch with me 3 days later to update me on the exterminator results, and possibly refund me then. They never contacted me. I feel very sorry for the next person who has room 205, and hope they don't take too long to deal with this. I'm happy to provide photo proof of the various bites I received so you can judge for yourself (though I'm certain it was bedbugs). Aside from this, the room was very run down and stained (see photos), with a light that half worked, and a bed board that had come loose. And the wifi kept failing. The worst place I've visited for over 100 Euros a night.

We had a good start in this hotel until the second day. We can back to realise my airpods were missing, I was tracking them and it said they were still in the hotel but had been disconnected from my phone. The housekeepers had been in our room already as the bed had been made (very poorly may i add) nothing else was done, sheets were dirty and clothes were just thrown on the bed. But i immediately noticed my airpods missing. I waited for the housekeeper and ended up confronting her, she was very obviously nervous and lying to me. she had a man with her who demanded to come into my room to check so i said okay at which point i opened the door and he just stood there and kept saying “no we haven’t seen them”. So i lost £150 worth of goods that were quite clearly stolen by housekeeping staff. wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Ruined my stay and is such a shame because the reception staff were lovely and helpful. Also after the housekeepers left i no longer had a location for my airpods (probably due to them going out of range and no longer being linked to my phone)

Hotel very close, by walking, to the train central station (20 min) and the museum quartier as well (25 min). The rooms are nice and the personnel very kind and available. Unfortunately, we have had a room at the -1 floor, just under the reception, so the general noise was a bit disturbing sometimes (also from the road). There was a little smell in the bathroom, due to the room position itself. Price good.

We had booked to go to this hotel mid December but a week before we intended to go they went into a lockdown. We have sent emails to try and swap dates but they are not being accommodating and are now ignoring us telling us we have lost our money and have to rebook for 3 times to original price. Do not visit during covid as you will not get your money back even if they are in lockdown.
