We were in Amsterdam for one night to get to the airport the next day. This hotel is in the city center, very close to the train station and the price was okay.

The location of this place was almost perfect, really close to ****************** and City centre. We were able to get literally everywhere by foot which was amazing. At night time it would get a little sketch, but I never necessarily felt unsafe. The only thing is that when my partner and I arrived, the bathroom smelled like pee and mold. There also appeared to be black mold in the shower in the grout. We propped the door open to clear out the stench, and I brought my own wipes where I just went through and cleaned the bathroom myself. The carpeted floors also felt soggy. We would have requested another room but reading past reviews it seems almost all rooms have had this issue. The owner seems to respond to every single negative review with a defensive argument which should have been a red flag for me to begin with. If you’re okay with sacrificing a little bit of cleanliness/comfortability for the cost/location then I recommend, but I personally would not stay here again.

The room has a slightly damp smell, which may be related to the fact that it rains every day in the Netherlands. The layout is irregular, and I don't know if it was renovated from a private house. In short, the ventilation is not very good.
The room is equipped with a coffee machine and coffee mat, and a cup of coffee is quite fragrant. There are no slippers in the room, but it is equipped with towels and disposable water cups, which is enough for short trips.
The location is very good, with Chinatown at the back. Turn right when you go out and it's only 700 meters away from the Central Station (there is also a cruise ship terminal, 13 euros per person). Turn left when you go out and you'll be 400 meters away from Dam Square...
Next time I come, I will stay here again

The staff is very friendly, and there is luggage storage, and you have to tap your card to get your luggage. I feel very safe.
