The Saracens Head Inn

Great little pub. We stayed one night. Room was lovely and cosy with tea and a coffee machine. The bar had a good choice and Asahi on tap. Christian the bar man was really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely, hot and tasty with the beans in a separate pot. Thanks again.

The heating in the rooms needs a major improvement, i have never felt so cold in my life!! When I woke up this morning I was shivering. I had breakast in the bar, but the food was cold before I could eat half of it.

A great little B&B and a fantastic little pub. The room was warm and comfy. The pub was traditional, just as a pub should be. Excellent service too.

The room we were initially offered was not as shown on Tripadvisor. It was as a cramped room above the bar with dated decor and furniture, filthy carpet and en-suite with broken sliding door with broken door handle and off the runners. After some initial reluctance from the barman at our request to change rooms, we were offered a courtyard room which was as advertised. This different room was much better but still not worth the money. Other reviewers mentioned events on in the courtyard and garden behind the courtyard bedrooms keeping them awake but thankfully there weren’t any events on for the Saturday night we stayed. Evening meal was standard pub food but fine and breakfast was average but better than we expected judging by the standard of rooms.

We were allocated a room in very poor condition. Thankfully we managed to get a swap to a much better room for the same price.

One of the most terrible and disgusting places I have ever stayed in. When I stayed it was like a builders place. Like a lot of work men stayed there. I worked late and didn’t come back to my room until about 2am. I was woken by someone walking in to my room and loads of lads talking super loudly outside my room. When I left, I paid. But the owner just arrived and didn’t realise and chased me down the road shouting at me to pay. I have literally NOTHING good to say about this place.

Overall the place was amazing, the rooms are great and full of character, very comfortable bed and the breakfast delicious. The staff were very nice and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this place.

Traditional pub with a great choice of ales. The rooms are comfortable and perfect location in the centre of old Amersham. Staff are friendly and we had a lovely Sunday roast. I would definitely recommend!

Stayed here in September 2023. Good friendly pub with lovely breakfast . Rooms clean and simply decorated . Nice garden and courtyard area to sit outside and have a drink. Had a meal one night in pub which was excellent Staff were extremely friendly and helpful
