ibis Almaty Jetisu

I stayed here for a business trip and it was a decent experience. While it's not as good as accommodations in Korea, the fact that Arbat Street is right nearby was a big plus!

This hotel is very business-oriented and compact. It's not too far from the airport, about a 30-minute drive. The room design is also good, with everything you need, though the bed was really soft, almost feeling like it sagged. The breakfast was decent; for this class of hotel, it offered a good variety of nutrients, with local and Western options. The only thing I didn't like was that the hotel corridors had a bit of a strong smell and weren't very well-ventilated. It felt like the smell of new decor was a bit heavy, but since the room windows could be opened, it was manageable.

Pretty good! The lighting design is excellent, there's plenty of hot water, and the heating works perfectly.

The Ibis Almaty is fantastic value for money, making it an excellent choice for business travelers! Its location is super convenient, just a few minutes' drive from landmarks like the Ascension Cathedral, and about a 30-minute taxi ride to the airport. Plus, they offer free parking. The rooms are clean and tidy, with free WiFi throughout. The Western-style buffet breakfast has a great variety, and kids under 17 eat for free. The front desk staff are incredibly welcoming, and check-in/check-out is quick and efficient. Having a restaurant and bar on-site is really handy. The standard rooms are a bit compact, so upgrading to a suite for a better view is worth the extra cost. Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations!
