Shera Inn Hotel

The hotel service was not at all upto the mark. Staff at reception needs to work on their English language. Before coming to the hotel we checked with them for early checkin and checkout. The staff confirmed there won’t be any additional charges for the same, however, on the last day they did everything to make it tough on us. We decided to extend the stay by one day and were told certain amount to be paid on the second day of the stay and it was paid. Upon coming back from tour in late evening we were told you need to pay extra because staff made some mistake and told us wrong tariff for the extra night in addition to early check in charges. Ayat got involved on last day (good in English) and helped us to resolve the finances and came up with in between amount. But the drama from staff that their salaries will be cut, they will need to pay for error, plus weak communication skills was a disaster. Even after agreeing it was their mistake they threatened us to be thrown out of hotel (at 11 pm after our tour) if not paid was too much to take in. We got a decent room with an excellent view, but sink was getting clogged, tap in shower area were not working forcing to take shower in bath tub. Jet spray wasn’t working. Rooms were not cleaned till asked to be done. Breakfast options were very limited esp for Vegetarians, too much meat in early morning. Overall would never advise to stay at this hotel when you have other better options.

SheraInn has managed to create a unique combination of the "best" from both worlds! Let's start with the rooms, where I expected to immerse myself in comfort and luxury, but instead, I was greeted by the smell of dampness as if I found myself in an underwater cave. The air conditioner, which was supposed to create an oasis of coolness, turned out to be not only noisy but impossible to make quieter, depriving us of the opportunity to enjoy tranquility. And all this happened after calling a technician who entered the room in dirty footwear. Furthermore, the problems kept accumulating: besides the dampness, there was a smell of old bedding in the room, which did not add any charm to our stay. Imagine my astonishment when I opened the curtains and saw construction netting in front of the window, ruining the view of the mountains. It seemed as if the windows had not been cleaned for a hundred years and served as a source of dust and dirt. And how enlightening it was when I headed to the spa, hoping for relaxation and tranquility! Instead, I was greeted by a rude spa staff member who didn't even offer towels. I had to beg for them myself. And what about the fitness bar? Unfortunately, it doesn't exist, so if you want to replenish your energy after a workout, you'll have to seek inspiration on another continent. But the most horrifying moment was breakfast, where I was welcomed by a rotten chicken with an unpleasant odor. My complaint to the senior waiter did not receive any apologies, only indifference and explanations that it was a mistake by a novice waiter. In conclusion, SheraInn deserves the title of the world's most dreadful four-star hotel. Travelers, be prepared for an unforgettable experience that you'll want to forget like a nightmare, and share your story with others so that they know what hospitality pitfalls await them in Almaty!

Generally it’s clean . I brought my own soap , shampoo creams . They have soap dispensers and shampoo , and conditioner. What’s in it ? As I said you get what you pay for . The breakfast isn’t worth it . There are lots of cafes in the area , google .There is a shisha cafe around the corner with great food , and an outlet store for high end brands . The employees are very nice and helpful .

This hotel staff are not trained. They dont have motivation to provide service to guest. Everything that can go wrong is wrong. Just ordered Ramen soup and found rubber piece inside. Pls train staff. Room service has cleaned without providing drinking bottles. Then another day they had just dropped drinking bottles without cleaning the room. Restaurent staff has to be trained to take orders. There is no room service until 8 p.m. No even menu in room to order food.
