Hostel O2

Nice hostel near the Sayran bus station – about 8-10 minute walk. I liked my stay there even though it was just for a short night as I was trying to catch the bus out to bishkek the next day. Good amenities, laundry must be done before 2130, big lounge area and you can chill at the park opposite as it closes really late (I left at midnight to head back to the hostel to watch world cup and there were still A LOT of people all around)

This property is not located in the touristy parts of town. Great for solo travelers to live like a local if you do not need to stay put at the property. There a bus stop for easy traveling conveniences if you managed to download the appropriate apps.  There were many business travelers during my stay and if you are business minded, maybe you can make some connections in the main co-working space with the industrious Chinese business trippers?  There's a very nice city park with a huge lake right across the main road good for an easy hike especially after sunset. Local families, young couples and pets go there. The management arranges weekend getaways out of town but I didn't stay long enough to experience.  The management lady (owner?) was friendly, helpful and an interesting person herself. Very well travelled.  All in all, a no frills, no complaints property suitable for the advanced backpackers. 

It is very close to the station, there are more Chinese people, and the room is spacious and comfortable.

Nice clean place, comfy beds and good wifi in the common areas. Clean, and good location. Karina and her collague are super nice, they help you with everything. Cheap laundry for 500tenge. Not as social as one might think, but to rest is the perfect place. All in all it's a perfect stay near the main bus station if you want to catch a bus to anywhere.The center is also easy to reach. I recommend it 100%.

One of my favorite hostels affordable, clean, and well-maintained. It has a kitchen available, excellent customer service, and the showers and toilets are kept very clean. The only downside is that although the lights are turned off after 22:00, some guests can still be quite noisy. Aside from that, I highly recommend it.
