Comfy bed, nice room, lovely bar and restaurant, good food ,and lovely staff,especially Frankie ! .The cocktail happy hour was a nice relaxing couple of hours and the drinks weren't bad either ! Will definitely be back . All round great 'countryside' pub / hotel

How lucky is the charming village of Aldermaston to have this treasure of a pub in its midst? Nothing was too much trouble for the three delightful members of staff we interacted with and our light lunch was delicious including the best chips I've had in quite a while. I'm only sorry it's too far from home to become a regular venue for us!

Finally this place has hit the spot! Been looking for a decent pub, that consistently serves great food and offers a great level of service and warm welcome! Frankie and Luke have brought this place back to life. Their passion and enthusiasm for good food and hospitality is clear. They have a great team around them who also deliver their vision and maintain that consistency. Great wine list and varied menu offers enough choice to keep it interesting. The 7 hour braised lamb shoulder is memorable!!

We called into The Hinds Head today on our way home. We had our dog with us and when they say “dog friendly” they really mean it. We were all beautifully greeted by Aimee and the dog given treats and a bowl of water. We sat in a stunning rustic bar area in comfortable leather chairs where we ordered coffee and a pudding each. We were served by Aimee who was so polite. She chatted to us and made sure we were comfortable, which we appreciated as we are pensioners. Service was also quick. The Christmas decorations were stunning. Thank you very much.

We were in room 2. Probably closest to the main road. Sash windows would not shut properly and without secondary glazing the traffic noise kept us awake so despite a nice room and a very friendly service we didn’t sleep well. When we mentioned it in the morning , whilst listened to politely there was no empathy or apology which was disappointing.

Last Sunday we had the most incredible experience at the Hinds Head. Our waitress, Aimee, was hospitable, and kind and made the overall experience a lot less stressful especially as I came in with my children alone. She was funny and engaged so eloquently with my children so much that they actually behaved themselves. I cannot thank her enough for all the hard work and effort she put into making it run smoothly and it is for that reason I will be returning regularly without or without the children. Aimee, you were simply amazing and a true credit to the company.

We're local so have visited lots over the years and the food and menu has always been a little hit and miss! HOWEVER - Now, the food really is reliably excellent! The new management have really hit the mark. This evening we went to enjoy their special Tapas event ,and it really was lovely! The staff are friendly, the atmosphere warm and the cuisine is something else. It says a lot that the local folk eat there more often than ever before, and it's always lovely to see visiting people and groups who come to stay in our lovely village. Well done Luke and Frankie - And thank you so much for making our local a real diamond!
