The room was average, just like a domestic express hotel. The interior was relatively clean, but the breakfast was terrible and there was nothing delicious. There was a pier opposite and there were no people around. It was just a deserted place in the countryside.

Distance: The station and the city center are about ten minutes each, which is quite convenient. The seaside is just across the road.

Lovely stay in a premier plus room with great facilities; Marnie, Finlay and Sat especially did a brilliant job with breakfast - superb service and lovely food just right for a Sunday morning - cannot rate them highly enough - will definitely stay again.

Had a lovely weekend for a concert. The staff are all so lovely and friendly. They all did an amazing job coping with the amount of people turning up all at once for breakfast on the Sunday. The rooms have recently been refurbished and are clean and modern. Will be happy to stay here again.

Wow! Had a great stay. Went with friends for the weekend. Really friendly staff and a great room which had been recently refurbished. Big shout out to Marnie who couldn’t have been more accommodating and professional. Thank you so much for a brilliant 2 nights.

Had a great weekend here. Room was clean and although they were doing refurbishing in the hotel it didn’t disturb us at all. Reception staff were very pleasant and friendly. Giving plenty of advice about the local area. Book here if you want a central Ipswich hotel.

Booked here for two nights in a Premier Plus room. The room was amazing. The comfiest bed ever, spotlessly clean and well designed. I loved the purple light in the bathroom. These rooms have recently been refurbished and are just so good. The only down side is that the entrance doors are so filthy that the building looks a bit empty and derelict when you first see it, just a bit of a clean and a welcoming lobby would improve first impressions.

The hotel is undergoing refurbishment. The car park under the hotel is closed, but there is an alternative across the road. Check in was very friendly. Our room had been refurbished and was very comfortable. Bathroom clean and bright with double showerhead and soft close toilet lid! Our aircon/ heating wasn't working (whole floor out apparently) , but reception found us a stand alone heater. Hotel location great for quick walk to town centre/ theatre and to quays. Ideal.
