Mantra Albury Hotel Reviews

If you're driving between Sydney and Melbourne and want to break up the journey, Albury is probably your best bet. Since I was traveling with my dog, I chose Mantra. On the first night, I was given a pet-friendly studio on the second floor. As you can see in the picture, the room was quite spacious and clean. On my return trip, however, I was on the first floor, and that room was significantly worse than the one upstairs. It had a strange odor and lacked any pet-friendly amenities like dog bowls or waste bags.

Lovely staff, the room was perfect for a few nights stay. The room had a gorgeous view, comfortable bed and lovely shower.

The hotel is good, and conveniently located right above the parking lot and restaurants.

The hotel's location is pretty good, and the environment, hygiene, and service are all quite satisfactory. However, I experienced another false fire alarm, which led to everyone evacuating downstairs. Luckily, it happened in the early evening, so the impact wasn't too significant.

I booked Mantra based on its reputation and expected a much better experience, but unfortunately the hotel did not meet my expectations. The breakfast was disappointing, offering poor value for money. Parking was also extremely expensive. There was little to no flexibility provided during our stay. The room lacked basic amenities such as soaps, shower caps, brushes or other essentials, which was surprising for a hotel of this name. The hotel advertises having a great kids’ area, but this was misleading. It was simply a small room with a few toys and nothing engaging for children to do. There were no real activities, and overall it was not suitable for families. This hotel may be fine for couples, but I would not recommend it for families at all.

I assume The Mantra has all the necessary facilities to be satisfactory. I'm not familiar with the site, and in my rush to book, I ended up reserving a room in the wrong area. I only realized this two hours before check-in, when I was in an area with no internet or phone service. What a great experience, haha.

Checked in around 2pm was busy, at the time only one staff at the front desk, there were a couple of people waiting and the staff also need to answer phone queries. Our room is around the corner facing the public car park next door. There were LED ceiling lights went around the window which supposed to be manage a light switch but it didn’t work. The front desk staff was very helpful and it appears this was a common issue to them. Breakfast was basic and adequate. The rooms were clean and spacious. Overall, a pleasant stay for a stopover.

I was trapped by the hotel elevator for 30 minutes. Although the follow-up staff also compensated, the experience was also very bad.

Was a little small for three adults but location was ideal

The location is convenient in Albury. The Hygiene situation is average
