We was due to stay here but we got a message from the property saying the pool is under maintenance so we requested to cancel which the hotel refused. We pleaded with them to cancel with a refund but they would respond no with no explanation. Eventually after talking to the agent we booked with, we was told they have another property they would accommodate us in that does have a pool, I agreed with the agent and was told to contact the property for the details. I contacted the property simply saying "please send through the details of the other property" they responded "speak to agent" I replied "the agent told us to speak to you which they ignored. A few days later I spoke to the agent again who said the property told him that they "tried to offer alternative accommodation but the client was rude to them". I literally only said "please send through alternative property details" so it feels they are just being as awkward as possible wanting to not resolve this situation. They still refuse to cancel and refund, they won't respond to me, they are trying to make this as difficult as possible. I now don't know where I stand, where I'm staying or what's going to happen when I turn up. Strangest hotel booking I've ever made so far. I feel very awkward and uncomfortable.
