I have absolutely loved my stay at 6 Degrees. The location is absolutely perfect for walking into the main street and my room has views of the harbour. The room has everything I need with an amazing soft queen size bed, small fridge, tv, chair and wardrobe. There have been bands playing downstairs on all 3 nights of my stay but being on the 2nd floor I didn’t hear a thing. Love being able to pop downstairs for a meal or drink and feel I’m around people as I’m travelling solo. Yea and coffee station on both floors with a microwave and ironing board available to use on the first floor. Shared bathroom facilities but they are clean. Would highly recommend staying here.

We selected this hotel due to its proximity to the coach terminal. It is closer to the marina than uphill to the centre of town, which suited us well, especially since we arrived in pouring rain. We stayed in the quiet motel part and paid what in hindsight and compared to other hotels/motels we stayed at seemed too high a price ($144/night). Our room was large and had all the basic amenities except for hair shampoo. All we got was a tiny piece of soap each. Although everything else was there, the room lacked a feel of comfort. Still, if you are only in town for a night or two you could probably do worse. As mentioned, the hotel is fairly close to the pretty marina (if you want to go whale watching), and the flash-looking entertainment centre is on the way there as well, although during winter you won't find much to entertain you. There is a large IGA nearby, and also a few restaurants. We can recommend an Indian one just out the back door. If you don't have a car, the rest of town including the visitor information centre is a bit of a walk away. It is also quite a long walk out to the interesting Museum of the Great Southern. There were not many visitors in town while we were there, and no tours were operating during the one full day we had. So we ended up hiring a taxi at a fixed hourly rate and went out to Torndirrup National Park, which was money well spent, particularly since the rain had stopped. We didn't have any issues with check-in and check-out and could also leave our luggage for a couple of hours. So all in all it was not a bad stay, but the accommodation was not quite value for money.

Very rude staff, don't care about customer health or welfare. Very noisy, small, dirty room. Avoid at all costs - only care about money not any interest in their customers. Many other great accomodation options locally

Incredible views, amazing staff and fantastic value. Vanessa is a brilliant staff member. Can’t wait to stay again. I stayed in a Harbourside room with the most beautiful view over the harbour. Bar and restaurant downstairs are good with great local wine at very reasonable prices.

Clean and basic but not worth the $310 a night we paid. Large room with comfortable bed, bunk beds for kids and cheap furniture, blanket had previous guests hair on, plumbing noisy. The window had one block out blind so it was either everyone passing looking into your room or the room dark with lights on for privacy which we needed while the manager evicted the guests next door and threatened to call the police, that was quite an unsettling experience. Location great but was noisy with other guests returning late and leaving early.

Appalling customer service. Cannot comment on venue itself as couldn't stay there but still charged full value. Booked room online, immediately received message to say noisy and lots of stairs with no lift and contact them if concerns. Immediately replied to message stating would likely be unsuitable (health reasons with very limited mobility) so could i cancel. Offered choice to move rooms and pay for upgraded room but declined as double the price and significantly more expensive than others in town. I asked for refund / cancellation as stated wouldn't have booked if knew info prior to booking and as replied and asked to cancel immediately (this was all within 1-2hrs of initial booking) it wouldn't be stopping any other customers from booking same room. Was refused so basically I had to pay for a room I couldn't stay in and re-book elsewhere (luckily a nice venue with great staff in Albany). Having stayed in 100s of accommodation ranging from hostels, air bnb, hotels etc - this is 100% worse customer service ever. They don't care about their customers welfare or needs at all

Went to Six Degrees based up[on the reviews and the look of the place. Lovely outdoor area and a small but cosy interior. Staff were friendly and eficient and our meals came out in fairly quickly. My wifes grilled fish and chips was very good, however my steakburger was inedible. I could not even cut through the steak with my knife. Parts that I could bite or cut off were very very chewy. When I complained, the waitress was very apologetic and refunded the cost of the meal. This is when it became hard - how to rate the place. The venue itself is great, no issue there, And all members of staff we dealt with were excellent. The chips and dipping sace were also delicious. I was going to rate it a 4 out of 5, however the main reason I went there was to have a meal, and it was inedible. So for the venue 4/5, the staff and service 5/5, my wifes meal 5/5, my meal 1/5 - only because the chips were great otherwise it would have been 0/5.

We stayed a night at this motel located in downtown Albany. Upon arrival we mistakenly drove the car directly to the Frederick St parking entrance so we had to enter from the back to get to reception. We had a good large motel room, with the car parking in front of it. The room had a good sized bathroom, microwave, kettle and wifi. The restaurant is very good in an informal setting, but it is suggested to make a reservation.
