Convenient location, walking to the city hall, landmark building, about ten minutes away. There are not many restaurants around, parking is free and there are plenty of parking spaces. It is a good choice to pass for a day or two. Starbucks on the first floor of the hotel is not recommended, the price is high and the quality is very general

Fairfield Inns are usually of a good standard, but this one downtown was very disappointing. I booked this over other options due to a typically good breakfast. When I arrived there was a printed paper on the window saying âNo Breakfast Todayâ. Realizing things could happen like staff out, I asked what was the issue and if they were doing something for the guests like a credit to a breakfast or points for the issue. I was told âI don't know, we were just told no breakfastâ and also that there was to be no compensation for this. Sorry, but breakfast was a big part of the deal of staying at this hotel, and the response was unsatisfactory. When I showered the next morning I noticed something on the towel and found a short curly hair - not the kind you typically want to see in a bathroom, wondering if the towels were actually fresh. The next problem was that I was still charged the 4.95 enhanced Internet fee even though I am an Elite member. I noticed this on my bill later but did not want to go through the hassle of calling the hotel and getting a review and correction for five dollars. I suggest you skip this Fairfield and choose a different option near the city.

The air conditioning in the room is not good, it is very cold in winter, and the air conditioning is very loud. The sound insulation of the room is not very good, and the sound of talking in the next room is very clear.

Ok, so we (a family of 5: myself, two teenagers and our two year old)booked a stay here because the location we usually stay at - Home2Suites in Albany was sold out. We called ahead to see if by chance our room might be ready an hour or two before check-in and are told that the room wouldnât be available til check in time. No problem. We reserved one of the bigger, corner rooms at $172/night (average) so it was understandable. We arrived at the agreed upon checkin time and were told by a man wearing a blue, button down shirt that was so wrinkled, I questioned if he really worked there at first. He radioed to what I assume was his cleaning staff who told him that our room (526) was not yet available and there would be a 30-40 minute wait. My family and I braced for a long wait. Then a gentleman in a neatly-ironed, red, buttoned down shirt came to assist me and told me that in fact room 326 was available for us and there would be no wait. Thankfully that was the case and we didnât have a wait but also didnât have the room I had originally reserved. No problem. We had a similar room. By now, the man in the wrinkled shirt was addressing the crowd that was beginning to gather in the lobby loudly exclaiming: âATTENTION EVERYBODY!!! I AM ONLY GOING TO SAY THIS ONCE SO LISTEN UP.â - he proceeded to yell to the waiting line (which looked like a mix of family and business travelers) the breakfast buffet hours and prices in an exasperated way that made me think they must be tired of confusion regarding the breakfast buffet. Weâve never been here before so I just shrugged my shoulders but found the public interaction awkward because this man who looked like he pulled his shirt out of the trash was speaking condescendingly to the line of travelers who just wanted to get their rooms. I found this entire opening process less than professional but was happy to get to our room. We had reserved the bigger room because weâre a family of 5. I entered that information when I created my reservation. When we got to our room we found the accommodations themselves sufficient but there were only two bath towels, two pillows and no linens for the sofa bed that the kids would be using. Not the end of the world so we called the front desk and to their credit they had our extra towels and bed linens up fairly quickly. But no pillows. It wouldâve been cool to not have had to ask for any of these things. Presumably guests steal anything thatâs not nailed down so I get it but there must be a better way. We called down again for pillows and they were brought up fairly quickly as well by a friendly attendant. The morning of Friday, August 19th was interesting. My wife and kids were excited to try out the Starbucks located on the ground floor so while they got ready in the room I decided to venture down and get coffee and pastries for everyone. Thank goodness I made this a solo mission. As I got off the elevator on the ground floor in between the Key Bank and the Starbucks there wa

The hotel has a good location. It is very convenient to travel next to the expressway. The quality of bedding is good. The most commendable thing is that the breakfast is very rich. It can be said that it is very rare in hotels in North America and even Europe. Overall, it is a very good choice. friend.

I read the reviews and was somewhat iffy - but was a great stay. I am a biz traveler Titanium with Marriott. Location: Great location right across from the Univ of Albany so if ur a runner or walker this is a great space to do both. There is a 7-11 right next door which is always cool and a dunkin next door on the other side. The people working here are all great. The room--I was given 131 and usually I dont like rooms on the first floor but loved this one. So convenient. There is a restaurant -- The hotel food service was steps away, few steps to the shops next to hotel. No elevators to navigate; Liked room layout - you walk in there is an alcove to the left for the microwave and fridge and beyond is the bath, so there is some seperation from the sleeping areas. Water pressure is good, bed was very comfortable. Overall this biz traveler had a great stay and highly recommend for others

The advantage is that the hotel has a shuttle bus to pick up and drop off the airport and there is also free parking. The sanitation work is quite poor, and the sanitary appliances are not clean. It is estimated that the stains left by the cockroaches in one day and two days are not true.
