Ok, first of all the negatives; It’s very far south so you’ll have to get a connecting flight from Male to Gan. Some people waited up to 8 hours for this so it really impacts your travel time. The beaches aren’t what you’d associate with ‘The Maldives’ and quite ‘stoney’ No snacks or food in the bars so it’s not your usual ‘All inclusive’ The ‘buggy system’ just doesn’t seem to work. They had just started a new system that if kept to should work. The phone in the room didn’t work 30% of the time. Not enough bikes for all the guests. No drinks in you fridge apart from water then a can of coke/sprite extra is around £3.60 ($4) The one shop is pretty much empty apart from fridge magnets and closed 50% of the time. That may seem a lot of negatives but this is ‘entry level’ Maldives’s that we paid £1700 each for 10 nights so taking that into account I thought it was great value. The food was varied and a lot of choice for everyone. The guests mainly seem to be British, German, French and Chinese and everyone was catered for. If you like chips then you’ll be disappointed as thankfully we didn’t get them at all. I thought the villas were fine, nothing fancy and in my view not worth having the premium with the jacuzzi as you’ll probably not use it. There is a new manager who has not long arrived and he seems a very nice guy who I have no doubt will improve many aspects of this resort. The staff are amazing!! Silah Anjeli Chamal Venhat Bishnu Durga We’re all simply incredible. Can’t thank them enough for making this a great holiday. They made such an effort for my nephews birthday on our last night he said it was the best birthday ever. So overall if you’ve been to the Maldives before this island may not be for you but if you haven’t been and have a limited budget then this is an great resort for the money and I’m sure will get even better in the near future. Last bit of advice, if you’re a typical Brit and queue/or wait for women and children to go first then don’t bother. You think you’re being polite and the rest of the world think you’re a fool who now has to wait for the next buggy or food.

Having just returned from a 10 night stay with my wife I will give my honest opinion of this resort. We arrived later than we expected due to a five hour wait for the domestic flight from Male to Gan, not the resorts issue and whilst waiting at Male we did get complimentary use of the lounge. For smokers, there is a smoking area just outside, over the road and to the right of the domestic area of the airport. We were met by hotel staff at the jetty, shown to reception where were given cold flannels and a cold drink whilst they gave us all of the resort information. The beach villa we were in was a great location, on the beach and halfway between the buffet restaurant and the bar. The areas for improvement: The resort could do with some TLC and some money spending on it. Only one bar was open during our stay which limited us. Food at all meal times was very “samey” with a lot of emphasise on either fish or curry. Also the hot trays / covered food was not hot at all. However we were always able to find something to eat. There are 3 / 4 cook to order stations within the restaurant which is what we tended to use. The mini bar in the room had over inflated prices which could do with reviewing. There was no food available, snack wise, in between the set restaurant meal times which would have been a nice touch. The room itself was comfortable and clean but once again needed a little bit of TLC and perhaps instructions on the air-con unit (I googled it to get it working as efficiently as I could). Having said all of the above the plus points of this resort are as follows: Staff are exemplary in the manner they deal with guests, always a smile and a friendly word. Housekeeping, we had Billal come to the room twice daily to ensure everything was clean, fresh bathroom towels and topped up toiletries. beach towels were also changed by housekeeping, a nice touch so no swapping out your beach towels at certain times of the day at towel stations. We celebrated our wedding anniversary whilst there and Billal did an excellent job making our room up with flowers, petals and towel art as a surprise that we had when we went back to our room. The island itself is stunning, totally relaxing. We were able to snorkel every day which we did. Something to be mindful of when returning home, the internal flight from Gan to Male was 05:20 so we had to be in reception for 2:30am to get the speed boat transfer to Gan. All in all, a good resort with a few bits of room for improvement. Both me and my wife agree that despite that, this is still the best holiday we have ever had and would return. Tip: take beach shoes as it can be a bit gravelly in places.
