Despite the fact that there were clearly available rooms, the hotel refused to allow us to check in just 2 hours early unless we paid an additional fee. This immediately set a very negative tone for our stay. When we were finally checked in, we were given a dark room with a view of a building, with only a tiny side view of the city, even though we had booked a city view room, and the photos shown during booking displayed a completely different view. When I went to the reception to show them the photo of our “city view,” the staff started arguing with me, saying that their website shows the best photos and that rooms can be different. This felt very unprofessional. The room itself was dusty and dirty - the carpet was stained, and the windows were extremely dirty. The bathroom smelled strongly of urine as soon as we checked in. The kettle didn’t work, and the hair dryer smelled strongly of something burnt, to the point that it was impossible to use it. We are on a long trip across different Gulf countries and cities, and this was by far the most unfriendly and unprofessional service we encountered. Overall, it was a terrible experience, and we would never want to stay at this hotel chain again. To be fair, a couple of staff members were pleasant and friendly, and the breakfast was not bad, but unfortunately, these were the only positives in an otherwise very negative stay.

Cleaning was not good at all: we were lacking paper tissues for couple of days, the sink and toilet were a little dirty. But shared spaces, like pool or gym were clean and tidy. The breakfast was really good, great choice. Location is nice, close to all major attractions and malls. Generally, we enjoyed our stay here.

Gymn room is large with wonderful view outside. In addition, there are a lot of machine. There is rich of food for breakfast while the restaurant is large enough for guests to relax with the meal. The hotel provides free bus to the main attractions and with the request the hotel also provided us return bus back to hotel, which is great.

There was a good selection for breakfast, and the rooms were quite new.

For services still not good

Choosing this hotel for my business trip was an absolute delight. The surroundings are beautiful, and transportation is very convenient. The facilities are good, and the cleanliness was also impressive. What truly stood out was the exceptional service attitude of their staff.

Excellent location by the corniche, very nice rooms, clean and modern. Well equipped gym and nice pool. Would recommend.

Hotel is a bit old but the rooms are clean and the staff are helpful. They offer a great breakfast as well.

Booked The Sofitel Abu Dhabi for a 3 night stay first week of May for a deluxe room however upon checking in we were delightfully surprised to learn that we had been upgraded to a one bedroom suite 😀 This is the 4th time we have booked with an Accor hotel and each time we have been upgraded 🥰 A special thanks goes out to VASHEE for arranging this. Thank you Vashee, the upgrade made our holiday even more special. Would definitely recommend Sofitel Abu Dhabi
