Excellent! Great value for money. The hotel service was very good. Remember to ask for slippers and a toothbrush. The rooftop is beautiful 😻, and they also offer luggage storage. They helped with my luggage right when I arrived, which was nice. You can easily hail a taxi right outside the door 🚗.

overall good and very friendly staff. Room was in good condition, only showerhead could be cleaned from chalk so that water comes out from all water holes again.

The staff was unhelpful they are not working from their hurt and this is rude and also for extending 2 hours they charge me 50 dirhams if I want to stay another time I am not coming to this hotel

A lovely staycation for myself. A quiet, clean hotel with excellent staff. The breakfast choices are good and the Cafe in the lobby has good coffee. I was able to use the wifi successfully as I am working remotely (online teaching). I liked my stay so much, I booked an extrar night. Good location with access to public buses, taxis etc. The front desk was able to help me sign up for the free tickets for the "Big 3" - Natural History museum, Louvre and Sheikh Zayed museum- a free shuttle bus is available.

The hotel is clean and very big with different venues with in the hotel,there's many things to explore one does not need to leave the hotel some fum

Excellent hotel, staff is friendly, free valet parking, amenities are superb and large comfortable rooms with shower and bathtub.  Bed quality offers best sleep.

The Southern Sun hotel has a welcoming entrance reception hall. The rooms are spacious and clean and everywhere that you go there's a lovely fresh odour smell. The hotel staff are lovely and helpful. The hotel seems to be very popular with visitors and We found that the pool area was congested. The gym is okay for cardio with the treadmills and cross trainers, however lacks in variety and is small.

Service was average, facilities were good, and the environment was just okay.

Had fun with this place. Got a good deal from this app too

1. Have finger nail of the previous customer on the floor 2. Breakfast services didnot clear used plates while we're having dessert 3. Rooms are lack of lights

Addressing Disparities in Service at Southern Sun Abu Dhabi I am writing to express my observations regarding the service at Southern Sun Abu Dhabi, which I have frequented during my travels as an African professional in international sectors. While my second visit offered a satisfactory experience, I've noted a concerning disparity in the level of service provided during my first and most recent stays. Specifically, I've perceived a difference in how staff, including those of African descent, engage with and assist African guests compared to those of European backgrounds. On two separate occasions, I felt a marked reluctance from the porter to assist with parking my vehicle or to allocate a driver, a stark contrast to the prompt and proactive assistance offered to a European guest who arrived just before me. This experience left me feeling as though I was actively seeking a basic service that was readily extended to others. These instances have led me to question whether there's an unconscious bias influencing interactions with African professionals. As a frequent international traveler, I value seamless and respectful service, and it is disheartening to encounter situations that suggest otherwise. I believe it's crucial for Southern Sun Abu Dhabi to ensure all guests, regardless of their background, receive consistent and equitable service. Addressing these perceptions will not only enhance the guest experience for African professionals but also reinforce the hotel's commitment to inclusive hospitality.

Always a nice stay at Southern Sun although the AC in the rooftop gym does not cool it properly

I love this hotel it's the second time I've stayed here and it's the bargain of the century. Breakfast simply in a word is fantastic. Views stunning staff flawless. I am the fussiest person on earth and I love this hotel. I think we paid $126 a night after taxes with two breakfasts. Breakfast was worth $50 a person. Don't expect any pork products but other than that this place is flawless. Pool is stunning and heated in the winter. Room is huge. Bathrooms I could live without someone else watching me shower because there is a piece of glass in front for a door that is see-through. I guess if you're with your mate and not your friend it's exciting to watch somebody take a bath or shower. The toilet is separate luckily so nobody has to watch you do that. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. The staff is very helpful and every person that works at the front desk is like a personal concierge. I booked this place for $99 half board in the summer but it's frightfully hot I couldn't leave I stayed an extra 4 days I stayed at this hotel for 8 days about a year and a half ago as well. This hotel is absolutely perfect!
