Grand Hotel Yerevan - Small Luxury Hotels of the World

Yerevan
*Yerevan Best Hotel. * It is my fourth stay in this member of the “small luxury hotel of the world” hotel. The Guests list of this hotel includes Royalties. Heads of states, Movie Stars , famous Musicians, and international celebrities. You can see their pictures and guest book writings in the hotel impressive hall-of fame. The hotel has a very unique location at the heart of central Yerevan, on one of the main roads in the city. I was staying in a beautiful Room which had classic elegant design. Very comfortable and spacious rooms, with excellent king size bed, high quality beddings, large Bathroom with upscale amenities. The rooms are disinfected and are very clean. The hotel has many disinfection Stations throughout the entire hotel. The Service is excellent on every level . A special compliment to Liana Hovsepyan the profesional front office manager that arranged for me the perfect accommodation. She is very professional and very kind and speaking fluent English like most of the staff . The breakfast in the hotel is one of the best you will find in Yerevan . They have good quality choices including fresh detox juices and tasty local products that you can find only in Armenia. The waiters staff are very effective and polite and I must give special complement to the excellent Restarants manager David who takes care of every detail. The hotel surrounding has many Restaurants, cafes and shops worth visiting. The hotel is always a buzzing place with VIP’s and guests thanks to the professional PR manager Syuzi Ayrumyan who makes everyone feel like VIP and is also the best personal shopper and adviser to all magical places and Shops in this Beautiful city . Other things i love in this hotel are the chic bar/cafe lobby area with live pianists every evening . I love the elegant spa, the fitness Room and the roof swimming pool. I love the Classic ambiance and I fully recommend Grand hotel as The best and excellent choice for business or pleasure in this amazing and charming city. I will be back .

Royal Plaza by Stellar Hotels, Yerevan

Royal Plaza by Stellar Hotels, Yerevan

Yerevan
We stayed at the Royal Hotel in June 2023 as part of a tour group. Positives - Great location right in the middle of restaurants and easy walking distance to Republic Square, the Cascades park - Rooms are a good size Negatives - We stayed 4 nights and had some sort of wifi issue every day. Some days we had no reception at all. Reception was best in the hotel reception and even then the quality was low - Staff had loud arguments in the front reception - Another guest who checked in for the first time early one morning came back down to tell the staff that her room had not been cleaned. She needed to be moved - Fruit offered at breakfast was bruised and poor quality - The chairs in the dining room were stained and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years - Secure lock up for your luggage when you check out was just putting luggage behind the bar in the reception area. It wasn't tagged or securely stored - Reception was not continuously staffed. On the day of checkout, I had to go to the kitchen to find someone to help. They ended up having to call the reception staff as they couldn't be found - We had a coffee station and no kettle. Only one person in our group of 30 had a kettle in their hotel - The bathroom has been remodeled but there is no sealant under the glass shower panel so your bathroom floor gets wet While the hotel is rated 4 stars, be aware that you probably won't experience this but will pay the price of a 4 star hotel

National Gallery of Armenia

The Alexander, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Yerevan

The Alexander, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Yerevan

Yerevan|0.19km from National Gallery of Armenia
This is everything you would expect of a modern Luxury Collection property. The rooms, the pool, the gym, breakfast... all top notch. Location is also perfect. There were, however some problems. Some serious. Some minor. Serious: - there is no way to contact the hotel electronically prior to arrival. There is no published email. I contacted them by Facebook Messenger, and they gave me an email address.... to which they did not reply. I recontacted via Messager... and they did not reply. No email address for a hotel in 2023 is not acceptable. - I was arriving ahead of the check-in time (10am vs 2pm) and checking out well before the check-out time (6am vs 12 noon). I explained the situation, said that I did not need my room early but i) if it was available great but ii) if it wasn't I would freshen up and change my travel clothes in the gym changing room. The answer - 'if you want the room before 2pm, you pay 50% of the daily rate. You may access the gym only after 2pm'. I was shocked. I understand that they are under no obligation, but refusing to allow someone to use the changing room?? I insisted. Eventually they relented. The changing room was perfect (and empty). But not good first impressions. - Returning from dinner, I was surprised that there is no evening turn-down service. I went to bed just before 10pm (I had been travelling) and did not think to put up DND sign because I was getting up at 6am and receiving room service breakfast. The turn down service came into my room just after 10pm when I was in bed. That is bizarrely late IMO (note that Yerevan is a late city with limited morning activity). - Room service breakfast was delicious except that orange juice was in a bottle. In Armenia, fresh OJ is available from any roadside stall. Surely the kitchens of the Alexander can produce it for breakfast? The hotel is expensive. It seems to be priced with the diaspora in mind who will not be surprised by NYC or Paris prices. For example, the $200 per hour for a massage is really extreme in this part of the world. I have no doubt about their claim to be the best hotel in Armenia, and I appreciated the luxury and service after some challenging travels through the Caucuses. However, I do think the management should get a grip on the service/value balance.

Altunyan Hotel

We were staying two nights in the hotel. The room was clean, they have conditioner and fridge, also all shower facilities. Corridors and rooms are decorated with very beautiful paintings. The breakfast was also find ( for the first time see chicken drumsticks for breakfast though))) 6 km to the airport and 10 min by taxi, it can be provided by the hotel for 10 euro. Disadvantage that it's close to the highway. Breakfast is from 9 to 10 am. We were going earlier so apparently no breakfast. The ventilator is so loud in the room that I could not sleep, it feels like engine is working next to you ( and no it's not a conditioner, it's just ventilating mechanism).

First of all, we were told to pay for the entrance of a 10 months old baby to the pool, although everywhere, even in very high-class places, the entrance of children under 3 years old is free. After I showed my own inflatable little pool, where my baby was supposed to swim, the hotel administrator did us a ”favor”, saying that if the child does not take a place in the common pool with his own inflatable ring, then we can skip pay for him THIS TIME. As for the pool itself. I can’t say that this place is worth the money for the entrance, as it looks not very nice and clear. The sun loungers under the roof were all in use by the time we arrived, and we had to move the other sun loungers under the roof and sit on the edge of the seating area, from where, if we sat down carelessly, we could fall down the stairs. And finally a cafe. The food here is completely tasteless. The pizza seems to be cooked on Armenian bread “matnakash” with impossibly hot pepper. French fries are limp and bend like spaghetti. So also in the end they counted more than we ordered. Highly don’t recommend this place’s pool.

We arrived here on New Year holidays, 6 adults and 2 children. At first it was very cold in rooms, as in the refrigerator, the hotel apparently didn't heat, TK did not expect cold. But then the problem resolved, at the temperature it was comfortable, even sleeping with an open fort. The room is not big, comfortable, everything you need to eat - twigs, boards, bath tools, scarves and shoes, refrigerator, shoe strippers, even weights. What isn't, is the closets, the waiter is right in it, and they sprayed things, placed on chairs, on a chair. No hooks of top clothes, there was a warehouse in the corridor on the tumbe. I advise you to hang hooks for convenience, it is not expensive)) staff at the hotel is friendly, there is a swimming pool and sauna, fitness room. But the best here is breakfast! That's all! And local food, with local greens worth a whole basket, local cheeses!!! The location of the hotel is very convenient.

My stay in the hotel was for long 16 days 😀 and i enjoyed each and every day of stay . The hotel is located at Komitas Road walkable access to major supermarkets, restaurants and Rio Mall (food court) . The service was amazing from check - in to check - out. Right from Reception staff, housekeeping and Kitchen staffs were all superb and very helpful. The room was spacious with a nice cozy bed , cute fridge, kettle , TV , chair and large cuboard , attached bathroom with all amenities and get cleaned daily . Self service breakfast was provided daily with a set menu, which was pretty decent. I would suggest them to bring a variety on their daily set menu 😃 .City centre is almost 15 minutes drive from the hotel , but that doesnt matter since you have public transport and Yandex taxi. Highly recommended! Thanks to all the staffs in the hotel and the owner to make my extented stay comfortable . շնորհակալություն SRI

We stayed in this hotel for a week. Very welcome but not obsessive staff, (special gratitude for T. Karina's attitude)! Small but cozy number with everything necessary! The location we arranged! A quiet lane that gives you the opportunity to sleep in the morning when life is boiling around. If you don't want or have the opportunity to walk to the main attractions-Yandex taxi at very democratic prices ! Just below the hotel is a great restaurant ”old Marani”, with a beautiful kitchen (and we had something to compare), not bad service and pleasant prices!
