This place is only a minutes from SJC airport, and the cool thing was the shuttle picked us up 5 minutes after we put in the call from baggage claim. Made a reservation for it to take us back to the airport for the next leg of our journey, and it got us there in almost a Star Trek instant. Employees are nice here, and the place is spotless clean. It does share the building with another Marriott hotel,which is where you will enjoy a wonderful breakfast (included in the price of your stay) in the morning. Our room was super comfy and quiet. In fact, rather amazed that every are of the hotel is well insulated from outside traffic and airport noise, so quality of sleep is quite good. Nice commons areas and hotel amenities. If there is a negative it might be that there are not a ton of eateries or other nightlife venues to which you can stroll. Think the shuttle will take you to places within 5 miles, though, which is nice if you didn't bring a car. There are some great places within that circumference. The bar at the hotel is nice but the dining menu will not excite. Still, a great place if you are here on business or breezing through the airport. A great value if you are using Marriott Bonvoy rewards points, as we did.FromS$275

There is a Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott located near the San Jose Airport at 1755 N 1st street. I have done 11 Stay/Park/Fly packages so far this year with a 12th one pending (I cancelled it last night). I will NEVER use or recommend this place in the future. The reason: I landed and walked to the # 10 spot and called the hotel to be picked up. There was no one else at the spot when I called. 5 minutes later others arrived. Going to other hotels. When the van arrived I stepped forward only to be blocked by 3 guys and a women just arriving. When I questioned it one dumb ass informed me that it was an airline shuttle, the hotel has one minivan with no separate airline shuttle, when asked what airline he said Horizon. Horizon doesn’t operate out of SJC ,Alaska does but Horizon, although controlled by Alaska, has specific routes (it is and always has been a want to be airline) and SJC is not one of their routes. So not only do these 4 adults not have enough maturity to wait their turn one of them is a liar. But back to the hotel: there was a front passenger seat available but the driver wouldn’t let me have it and drove off. For 2 yrs they have had “excuse the dust and noise, we are remodeling” signs up and I have done just that. When Covid hit and the world came to a standstill I kept staying there and flying but I guess all of that isn’t important. I know what you are thinking but this is the first time that I have ever even encountered airline personnel at this place and Horizon doesn’t even have designated routes using SJC. Came to celebrate daughter's 6th birthday with some family. Booked more than a week out with Ray and asked for adjoining rooms. I asked for one king room and one room with two queen beds. I was told we needed the same type of room to get adjoining rooms so I agreed. Not true. Exact opposite in fact. Upon checking in, I was told we'd have had a better chance if we asked for one king room and one with two queen beds, which is what I wanted originally. None of that mattered though because I was told there were no adjoining rooms available. Then I was asked if I had called that morning to check the availability of adjoining rooms, like that was something I was supposed to do to ensure I got what I wanted. I was never told to call the morning of my reservation. I was also never told about the $200 extra charge per room for incidentals. My total for two rooms, one night was ridiculous for a place like this. I was told I would get it back but what if I didn't have the extra $400 to pay for this hidden charges on both rooms? That is unacceptable, deceitful, and beyond misleading if you ask me. I also said we were coming for my daughter's 6th birthday and I was told there would be something special for the birthday girl. This was also written in my notes by Ray who booked my reservation because I booked directly through Marriott. There was nothing special for her, there were no adjoining room for her grandparents so she could run back and forth to her mom and grandmother. What was supposed to be a special occasion turned out to be a very frustrating, deceptive, and sad hotel stay for a child's 6th birthday celebration. If you want to stay here for a celebration or event, don't get your hopes up. Will not be returning.FromS$196

Excellent hotel for a family stay in the SJ area. Breakfast was great. It was the standard Homewood Suites breakfast setup. Hotel was nice and clean - minus some thick black hairs in the bathroom and closet. Looked like someone had shaved and the clippings went all over - it could have been cleaned better. This was the reason for the 4/5 rating. One bummer was the fire alarm going off at 2:17am. Not the hotel’s fault, but to the person who burned stew - try not making stew in the middle of the night and you might not burn it. Hotel is easily accessible and there is a target close if you need to pick anything up. This will be our go to hotel in the San Jose area from now on!FromS$245
