Came to celebrate daughter's 6th birthday with some family. Booked more than a week out with Ray and asked for adjoining rooms. I asked for one king room and one room with two queen beds. I was told we needed the same type of room to get adjoining rooms so I agreed. Not true. Exact opposite in fact. Upon checking in, I was told we'd have had a better chance if we asked for one king room and one with two queen beds, which is what I wanted originally. None of that mattered though because I was told there were no adjoining rooms available. Then I was asked if I had called that morning to check the availability of adjoining rooms, like that was something I was supposed to do to ensure I got what I wanted. I was never told to call the morning of my reservation. I was also never told about the $200 extra charge per room for incidentals. My total for two rooms, one night was ridiculous for a place like this. I was told I would get it back but what if I didn't have the extra $400 to pay for this hidden charges on both rooms? That is unacceptable, deceitful, and beyond misleading if you ask me. I also said we were coming for my daughter's 6th birthday and I was told there would be something special for the birthday girl. This was also written in my notes by Ray who booked my reservation because I booked directly through Marriott. There was nothing special for her, there were no adjoining room for her grandparents so she could run back and forth to her mom and grandmother. What was supposed to be a special occasion turned out to be a very frustrating, deceptive, and sad hotel stay for a child's 6th birthday celebration. If you want to stay here for a celebration or event, don't get your hopes up. Will not be returning.
