What to see in Karachi?

The shores of Karachi harbour are a beautiful place to spend your time leisurely. The Clifton beach is the most popular beach here, always buzzing with people. One could take a short trip to Manora Island from Keamari harbour. This island is where Karachi’s rulers, Talpur, got defeated by the British and a lighthouse was later built here. The sea breeze here is balmy and one can have a lot of fun in ferry rides here. Then there is a French beach where the crowd is mostly elite and consists of expatriates. 

One can see more than 30 aircraft in the PAF museum which is an Air force museum. Get on a safari in the Karachi safari park to view the variety of animals present there. It also has an amusement park for the kids to have a gala time. Those who like to sail could go to the Marina club for either just relaxing or have a thrilling ride in its speed boats.

Tip: Do not take pictures of military objects or strategic places like bridges and airports.

Shop and Dine in Karachi:

To shop in a quieter area, Dolmen Mall Tariq Road is the best place. They have many interesting shops which sell European style clothing as well as traditional Pakistani clothes. Zainab market is another colourful place to shop for bags, accessories, and clothing at cheap rates.

Pakistani cuisine is a mix of Indian and Arabian flavours. You would get some of the best authentic foods in Boat Basin, Burnes Road, or the Hussainabad area. You could see the cooks

Tip: Tea is something you would get at every nook and corner of Karachi. Different tea stalls have different methods of brewing and serving. It is fun to feast on Paratha and Chai at any ramshackle stall you can find in the city.
