Karachi is deemed as a beta-global city as it is also the financial hub of the country. It was founded as a village in 1729 and grew rapidly during the reign of British East India Company.

It is situated on the coast of the Arabian Sea and closes to the Indus river delta. The city has been called by many names like Caranjee, Krotchey, etc. which all seem to come from the influence of Sindhi settlement in the old days.

The sea breeze here is balmy and one can have a lot of fun in ferry rides here. Then there is a French beach where the crowd is mostly elite and consists of expatriates. 

One can see more than 30 aircraft in the PAF museum which is an Air force museum. Get on a safari in the Karachi safari park to view the variety of animals present there. It also has an amusement park for the kids to have a gala time. Those who like to sail could go to the Marina club for either just relaxing or have a thrilling ride in its speed boats.

Tip: Do not take pictures of military objects or strategic places like bridges and airports.

Shop and Dine in Karachi:

To shop in a quieter area, Dolmen Mall Tariq Road is the best place. They have many interesting shops which sell European style clothing as well as traditional Pakistani clothes. Zainab market is another colourful place to shop for bags, accessories, and clothing at cheap rates.

Pakistani cuisine is a mix of Indian and Arabian flavours. You would get some of the best authentic foods in Boat Basin, Burnes Road, or the Hussainabad area. You could see the cooks
