San Jose|3.28km from downtownThis is a good quality hotel that would have received a much higher review from me had it not been for a very unpleasant incident at reception. We were on a package holiday and had stayed there a week earlier with no problem. All went well until I came to check out, on arrival at reception, Angie and what seemed to be her supervisor were looking at some earrings and not paying attention. I gave my room number and was told the accommodation had to be paid for - knowing this not to be the case and after no effort to look into the problem I called for the manager (a young man!). Absolutely no use at all, we called our travel agent and it transpired they had looked at the wrong room and accused me of giving them the wrong room number - which I certainly did not. Had they tried to sort out the problem straight away by asking names this would have been sorted, but nobody wanted to query the problem and they were adamant that I had given the wrong number (even after it had been sorted). Poor staff and management spoiled what would have been two good stays. Don't dismiss and accuse guests without checking the facts and concentrate on what the guest is saying rather than discussing personal matters with other staff. You are letting the rest of the hotel staff down.
