I've booked through AirAsia for this hotel, I stay from Dec 25th - Dec 27th, I booked for Deluxe twin room. When I checked in the reception desk didn't mention anything about the room type that they going to assign me in, they only mention my room room number (it's room 120), so I go there just to find out that I got the wrong room (they give me double bed room), so I called the reception and mentioned that I was booked twin room but they said there's no note regarding my room preferences and they asked me to send the hotel voucher to their WA hotlines number and I did, after several times waiting I asked (I checked on them few times by calling them through my room). What they suggest me is so disappointing, they said we can't moved you to twin room because the room is full at this moment what we can give you is extra bed, and they said we can't give you that room because the confirmation that we got from Expedia was, you booked for double room, and I corrected them by saying I booked from AirAsia not Expedia, they asked me to contact AirAsia, I said no, how can they suggest such things, I said it's your internal problem between your system and AirAsia, I don't have to know and I don't want to know, also how can I put my self on comfort while my son have to sleep on uncomfortable extra bed, I said I gave you 5 mins to move me on my desired room. After about almost one hr back and forth phone call to reception finally they give me twin room it's room no 133 (2nd room from the end area), the room doesn't look like normal room, the terrace chair is only one pcs (not pair), the bathroom door is dirty. Anyway, it was unpleasant experience... so I don't think it was because they have no room for me, as they give me the right room afterwards (after complaining) they just not handling guest in proper manner they should be.

We definitely will return to this property. Pretty old, almost 20 years old property but well maintained. Beautiful lush garden. Stunning view from our suite room. We were blessed to receive an upgrade from the management, Elena. However, there are some fine tuning can be improved Staffs generally are fantastic. But the servers at the restaurant could do more fine tuning. A few guests including ourselves needed to almost entering the service area to call out for attention and help. Whilst busy during breakfast, no one was seen on the floor to tend to guests or walk in guests. General hygiene must be given attention as we wanted to heat up our bread, one of the servers touched the bread with her barehands. Unsure if we were served the same bread or not though Upkeeping the cleanliness can also be improved, there were just too many spider webs at the ceilings and corners. Only take a few minutes to clean the webs Some painting work for the wall can also be done to further improve the hotel, such as the spa rooms Beautiful pieces of old antique furnitures Breakfast can also use some changes and varieties for longer staying guests Coffee needs to be changed. Banyuwangi is known for its coffee, should improve on coffee served Should include staples Indonesian snacks such as fried tofu, tempeh and bananas. Recommended dishes: Bakmi kuah Heavenly chicken Fish finger The 2 desserts dishes were alright, though the puff could be better
