I stayed in the smallest room with no window. It felt just like an indoor cabin on a cruise ship! This hotel is perfect for a traveller like me: Single: easier in a small room Carry on luggage only: easier for a small room and flights of stairs Considerate: walls are thin, so need to be considerate of others. I really liked that there was a kitchen and laundry. This felt like a nice upgrade to the hostels I’ve stayed in.

Good location with MRT, bus, food, guan yin temple. 2 small water bottle FOC daily. Chinese counter staff friendly. Good room clean. They charge SGD10 per hour for early check out, and make sure you check out on time 12pm else min SGD25 for 2 hours. They will call to your room at 12.00pm AND 12.10pm to make sure either you pay another SGD25 or check out. Their cleaning staff will sit in front of the stairs and wait for you to come out so they can do their job. 4th floor climbing stairs every in and out, no elevator no escalator. Bathroom very small. Water outlet very small. One of the plug is spoil, cannot be used. Will not come again. Not recommended. Near many hotel. Can try other hotel nearby.

Thank you for the amazing stay! Check in was fuss free and rooms were equipped with smart TV and there are many eatery nearby which opens till late night for a yummy supper.

Very tiny but to be expected. No window, no toothbrush or toothpaste. Have hair/body soap. Cute design and layout but in my opinion the bed is very high which is a bit dangerous for those who may have slight mobility issues. Luckily we are young ish and agile and can skip rungs on the ladder. The ledge above the door, right under the Aircon, is right at the foot of the bed and a bit dusty and unsightly to be so close to us. TV can be maneuvered to view from the bed or downstairs. Would be good if there was a small (non dusty) ledge near the bed to put phone/specs etc. Location have lots of Indian food, 7/11 around so convenient. Overall an interesting and fun place which would greatly improve with some tweaks

i forgot his name but i think his name was jordan. he was the guy who work in wanderlust for 2 yrs + and he works at the counter. but yeah, i had a birthday party on 27 may but i stayed there from 26 to 28 of may. it was a wonderful stay in wanderlust because of the service he has given us. he was willing to take pictures of me and my friends and willing to give us takeaway boxes for our cakes. he was extremely friendly and approachable during this short stay. would love to come back to wanderlust again and hopefully see him and experience his service again. 10/10! good job wanderlust for a wonderful staff hahahaha

The rooms are smaller than I expected but it’s a 2 star hotel so it’s fine. AC stopped working middle of the night. But they kindly gave another room so was fine. Bottom line is, if you do not care so much about where you live during your Singapore vacation you can stay here. It’s cheaper than most hotels so don’t expect 4 star hotel accessories.

And I stay there frequently at cheap (for Singapore) places. Location is convenient for everything really with lots of economical eating places nearby. Rooms are much larger than average for the price and relatively well equipped including a fridge and wifi that works pretty well. Rooms are nothing fancy. They never are at this price, but they are quiet and comfortable. Last time there, I arrived at the hotel at 9am from an overnight flight. I really didn't expect to be able to check in at that time, but I was - unlike another hotel along Dunlop Street, who were not at all helpful on my arrival later than that. If anyone can do better in Singapore for the price, please say so. I can't. Strongly recommended.

I booked this hotel for a 10-day stay and upon arriving, I was cheerfully greeted by Ms.Nina at the counter who helped me and my wife to check-in. In the later days of my stay, I had some issues with my room and am really thankful to the Duty Manager, Mr.Fazri, who was very helpful and patiently answered all my queries and helped to sort out my request for a change of room. In the next few days I couldn't help noticing Mr.Fazri handling demanding guests all in one go while keeping his calm and pleasant composure. Staff like Mr.Fazri is indeed an asset to Hotel 81 and more staff like him and Ms.Nina would definitely make the hotel chain a class above the rest in its category. Thank you Hotel 81 Rochor for the pleasant experience and I will definitely share this with my friends and colleagues.

We had a great time staying at the Dao by Dorsett AMTD Singapore during Christmas this year. We were warmly welcome by the staff during checkin. The staff was very friendly and even gave my baby a teddy bear as a welcoming gift. We stayed at the two bedrooms suite which was perfect for our family. We could prepare food for the baby in the kitchen and enjoyed dinner at the dinning room altogether. The location of the hotel is really convenience. It’s walkable distance to the infamous maxwell food center, the Chinatown and MRT station. The pick up spot for grab just right downstairs. We highly recommended this hotel. The buffet in the morning was really good. We stayed for 4 nights and the food were different almost everyday.

The hotel functions like a business hotel. Lack of warm hospitality that I witness in some other hotel chain. I was lost in the room as there were no communication as to what number to dial for conceirge. Only a number for housekeeping and they had to forward the call for me. When asked for late checkout, the answer was an unapologetic No. I guess the hotel has great business. And the bath was choked but they got it fixed. Plumber was fast and friendly but of course, it was still precious time wasted waiting for the bath to be fixed.

A rather short walk away from havelock station, concord shopping centre is nearby, but great world is a distance away. It has the typical amenities you would expect, toiletries, minibar etc. Lounge service was excellent - very friendly and helpful - and the canapes had some variety. Receptionist was unhelpful but most of the other staff i met were friendly and flexible. Overall a pleasant stay.

A wonderful and very convenient hotel to stay for anyone. The hotel ambience and room light and view of the busy city, yet the night light was also a delight. Take a walk to see Chinatown, the local Chinese food was delicious & (if U are able, try the durian and chendol) . Jus wanted to talk about the hotel breakfast, it was simple with both western and Chinese, but have to say, included was vege & cauliflower , one of the best ever . Kudos to the hotel. Cheers

Our stay at Parkroyal was a breeze. Checking in was smooth. Requested for 2 single bed but didn't got it, wasn't any issue. Cleanliness is perfect 👍 Breakfast spread was superb as well. The kids enjoyed picking up food by themselves (with supervision as the plates & drinking glasses were made from ceramic which was quite heavy for the little ones) Housekeeping were great as well. Checking out was smooth too as there was no queue. Great location! Bus stop is conviniently just right outside the hotel. Definitely a good staycation for the whole family 😌

The room looks old but is kept clean except for the blanket which have an obvious stain mark, but since its at the edge I'm willing to look past this. Aircond controls seems to be not working, making the room very cold eventhough fan had been set lowest and temperature the highest. The floor being tiles only doesn't help as well. Otherwise its a good 2 nights stay for me considering the convenient location. Service by the staffs are satisfactory as well.

Stayed at this hotel for one night only but no complaints about their service and cleanliness as it was top class. Booked a good king room and got upgraded to great king room for free. Since we checked in quite late (6pm), receptionist extended our check out time to 12pm with no additional pay. Aware that room size in Singapore is quite small but the room that we were in was spacious enough for 4 of us (2 adults, 1 4yo kid, 1 baby). Location wise is perfect, very near to Bencoolen MRT. Will def stay here again the next time we visit Singapore ✨

Fantastic Hotel! Staff were amazing and couldn't do enough to help. Check in was quick and easy, lifts work on a card and touch screen basis which is easy to use. Reception extended our room till 2pm free of charge and not much extra to keep it till 6pm. As a western visitor i struggled finding reviews of the breakfast.... best ive had in years of visiting Singapore. Fresh fruit, Yoghurt, juices and cereals. Breads, meats, salmon & pastries. Eggs boiled or fried on buffet but can order an omelette, sunnyside up eggs or poached eggs free of charge. Bacon, beans, mushrooms, asian breakfast inc sui mai,bao buns and noodles. Pancakes or waffles with berries and maple syrup. You wont go hungry. We had a twin deluxe room, lovely! Aircon and a ceiling fan both great. Lighting works off a panel.on the wall but easy enough to work. Cleaned every day, iron and ironing board in room and great hairdryer. Beds were really comfortable. Pool area was lovely and quiet. Pool not deep so great for families too. Pool towels provided and food and drinks served at pool. Honestly, apart from no hangers in the wardrobe i couldn't find a fault (ive spend over 20yrs in travel industry so can easily be critical). I would definitely stay here again!

Pleasant surprise to be able to check in earlier to the hotel and was provided a complimentary upgrade to a higher level room (Executive Marina Bay Room)! Room was spacious with superb view of the Marina Bay!! Service was great, housekeeping lady, Tina was friendly as well! Was also given a box of chocolates when we checked in and an Xmas sock on our 2nd day of stay as it’s Xmas eve! The pool comes with 2 huge donut floats. Unfortunately, not sure if it’s due to the weather, the water is really cold and cool. There’s also a kids indoor playground (socks to be worn). The playground is very kid friendly and clean. Definitely a pleasant experience, it would even more memorable if there were fire works!
