      Was initially impressed by the room... until I put my things onto the bedside table and I brushed pass a stain on it. Window was also slightly dirty. If it's any consolation to the housekeepers, I do think that they have a lot to do, so maybe they had to clean quickly and efficiently. Next, I booked a packaged room with dining credits and was initially told to pay service charge despite ordering takeaway. Thankfully, the  Manager waived it. Prior to this, I had checked with the restaurant involved and was told that all transactions involving hotel dining credits had service charge regardless of dine-in/takeaway. We were subsequently offered an upgrade to a room with the view of Marina Bay. Prior, I should  have asked the hotel when they would take us to the new room, because we ended up waiting idly for quite some time in the non-upgraded room, which was rather annoying because we could have made better use of the time to do other stuff (Instead of waiting). By then my hotel partner and I were just blaming each other for agreeing to the upgrade, which sort of ruined the day. The upgraded room had a very nice view, but it did show some signs of age. The gadget to adjust the bathtub plug looked like it was falling off. By then, I was just too tired and frustrated and didn't want any more interruptions, so I let it pass. At least it didn't fall off during my stay. On the whole, I do like the hotel and the atmosphere, but i feel that the quality check (QC) could be improved upon to minimize stay disruption

      Check in put a real dampener to our couple and 30th anniversary get away. The check in time was 3pm and to be safe we arrived at 4pm. Soon after completing all the documentation for checking in, we were left hanging and waiting for more than an Hour. We were not told anything. The male Indian staff that attended to us was friendly but disappeared after a while. The new female staff did not really know the situation and told us that our room was still not ready at 5.15pm. We were told that the manager was aware and in another 20 minutes, they would have our room ready. No welcome drinks were offered whilst we sat there being paraded to the other hotel staff and guest. The manager did not come personally to explain anything to us. We had to approach the front office staff to enquire about the long delay. We finally got the keys to our room at 5.30pm. At these prices for this higher class hotel, we would have at least expected better treatment and service. This is something I would expect at a budget hotel. Sad that it happened at the start of the much awaited 2 night get away.

      very disappointed and upset during our 2nd day stay onwards because the aircon wasn't working!! we adjusted the temperature to the lowest (16 degrees) and highest fan level but it was still so warm! you can feel the heat as you leave the room and even in the lift. but ironically the hotel lobby wasn't affected - in fact it was very cold! we kept calling up the concierge and all they did was apologised and told us that they would check with the aircon technicians but nobody came back to us regarding this ridiculous aircon maintenance that was going on. yes there was a memo written - we found it in the suite after we checked in. but so appalled that we weren't informed prior to checking in. we had guests and babies in the suite, it was just so warm. we had to ask for 2 fans and guess what, 1 of the fan couldn't oscillate! seriously.. i purposely chose to have my daughter's birthday party in the biggest suite because we love how spacious and comfortable it is yet it was an unpleasant experience with no aircon!

      Worst check in experience of my life! You will be welcomed in a narrow staircase. Was asked to produce a passport eventhough I’m a Singapore resident. They claimed that they sent an email about this but I didn’t receive it. (None received in the spam emails too) Too many procedures to click on their app to check in. Need to upload passport, take a photo thru their app and enter card details. The best part is they will ask for a $300 deposit! Been on many hotels locally and overseas and this is the steepest amount I’ve ever been asked. Despite all these extra steps, not even a single table to place your stuff exist. I know it’s not the staffs’ fault. They were trying their best to be accommodating. This is a sytem issue and I think it’s best the management take a look on their process to make the check in more seamless in the future. The room is small. Just nice if you only intend to sleep. Room 309 door has issues with the lock. It doesn’t automatically lock when closed. Was told by staff to bang the door to make the lock latch. Need to push very hard to open later on. No toothpaste, toothbrush and usual toiletries kit provided in other hotels. Towels, shampoo and body wash provided. Includes iron/ironing board, mini fridge, microwave, bread toaster and kettle. Cutleries and mini cooking equipment available all under the sink. Laundry soap and washing machine is free to use. Basically tried this property because of the location. Many restaurants open until 11pm nearby. Very near The Central and Clarke Quay MRT.

      All facilities seem open accessed to the public, so it was a bit overly crowded. The playroom seems to have many families who were there for the StanChart run not for the hotel stay. Swimming pool had large groups of young people who also don't seem to stay at the hotel, coming from outside with food and beers. Overall, I like the deco, the vibe and the facilities. Our toddlers enjoyed discovering the hotel and the live performances. My wife didn't like the crowd too much, though it felt fine for me.

      AMAZING PLACE HIDDEN IN CENTRAL DISTRICT!!! WAS so surprised by the hidden gems in this place over here. They have almost 4 stars hospitality services. Have everything you need in hotel. The place is very huge and spacious compare to other chinatown hotel. You feel safe and secure over here. Just that the price is quite high so advice to book a advance date before if you cannot afford the price. Absolutely love this place!

      The room size and decoration were good. The bed was super comfy and the washroom was clean and well equipped. Suggestions: 1) If facilities (gym and pool) can open till later time (rather than most closed at 9pm). 2) The room was a bit too dark for me and missing some desk area - since I was on a business trip that I want to work sometimes in the room. Here is my appreciation to the reception and the concierge staffs, who have been very helpful in getting/arranging taxi for me a couple of times during my 4 days stay. Thank you!

      The location of the hotel is good and the suite is very big. There are also 2 bathrooms available for the 2 bedroom suites which makes it much more convenient. 1 thing that can be further improved would be the cleanliness of the hotel. The carpet was wet when we checked in and there are also food (?) stains on the carpet in one of the room. Overall it is a great stay and I would return again.

      The room was very comfortable. Was offered to upgrade to a bigger room with a bathtub at a price, glad we did although the bathtub was missing. The swimming pool however could do with a heater. The guests would appreciate swimming without shivering. But this is great for parents as it will be effortless to pull out their children from hours of playing in the water. The dining hall 'Lime' was great. Seats were comfortable. The breakfast spread however could a bit better, easily overshadowed by other smaller hotels. Could have a halal section or menu could be muslim friendly. The muslims are willing to spend. Market research should be done. Check out other muslim friendly restaurants at the orchard belt. They are packed daily. Overall, a great stay, albeit the shortfalls, the staff more than makes up for it.

      Always worth the money to book the parkroyal club, free usage of the lounge freefree flow of food and drinks from 6pm-8pm Wife brought me for a birthday getaway got free delicious cake! If other hotel, the cake given probably like left over and not fresh. Service by the lounge staff were all friendly, even though kids are not allowed in the lounge, we can still bring the food to our room! The gym, pool and the Ginger restaurant all tip top and satisfactory! We will visit here again for sure! Location very strategic with lots of eatery just across the road.

      Not super duper clean I saw a few strands of hair in the sink and towels were a little stained (which was changed upon request) overall the toilet cleanliness is decent 3.5/5 however the room is super worth it. The staff are also very friendly and gave us a high floor upon request. Location is great as there’s many food places including a beautiful park and temple. 7/11 as well. With a mall that had all the essentials. We also had some issues which caused some noise and they came in to check first if everything is okay before giving us a warning. I loved that they were caring before doing their duty although they didn’t have to! Thank you for your service. For the price I’ll definitely come back 😉

      Long queue at check-in because there are big tour groups from Indonesia and India. Roy at Front Desk was patient and did the check in for me very quickly. Even upgraded to Executive Floor noting that it’s my birthday staycay. However, the tv signal is very lousy. Not stable and always hanged. Got their technician to come but couldn’t fix it. Only told to restart the adaptor but problem never solved. Called operator again but subsequently never send anyone over to fix the tv. Displeased. Breakfast is another disappointment too. Spread is average and quality is mediocre. Should have go out for breakfast instead. Love their “green” initiative where we can top up drinking water at various temperature and various quantity at every floor. No more plastic bottles. 👍🏻

      (1.Size and cleanliness of the room) 1.The room size for a premium balcony is average not too big or small. Can fit about 3 adults comfortably. Would recommend to book a bigger room if you are bringing kids. table at the balcony at a hole and the floor was unkept. Little speck of dust flying around. No sippers were provided so if you are walking bare Foot be prepared for an unpleasant feeling of the sticky somewhat slimly floor. Over all 4.5/10 (2. Customer service) 2. Customer service was not really up to standard. When I greeted the counter staff after waiting on line for almost 30 minutes I got back a blank look. Understood the staff was a trainee but the first thing you should always do is greet back. It was chaotic at the check in Lobby. Overall 3.5/10 It was a good stay I will recommend everyone to try it and feel for themselves. This is my personal opinion. So have a great new year 🎇

      Simple staycay. Location was the best. Love the design of the place and love the gym the most! The decor is inspiring. The room is pretty small for my room type.       Stayed at LYF funan for the first time. It was a easy check in as the front desk staff gave clear instructions. I was lucky to score a larger room for the disabled but it had a connecting door. Lucky, it was a quiet stay despite World Cup season. There’s a small work out area on the 5th floor with free weights and some simple cycling machines. The treadmill is special like a hamster wheel design. The pool is part of the mall’s gym and not assessable from the hotel. The shared kitchen on the 4th floor was not bad as I was able to store my food in full sized fridge which was not so full. Although there was expired food still in there. I was also able to heat up food using the microwave or use the pot to cook noodles. Not many utensils available. There was two cleaning ladies who were rather rude, always eyeing me and pointing out that I cannot use this utensil to cook as they deemed it not appropriate. One of them also used a gloved hand to touch my plate with food which I felt disgusted by as the glove was obviously used. There was no TV in the room but I brought my laptop so could still watch shows. There’s a dart machine at the lobby which had cheap games which was fun and the location was really good, easy to get food and get around. Would recommend and would check out the other LYF properties in SG as well.
