I've booked using Visa to ensure the room is secured for 6-8 March, 2020. Prior my arrival, I am in constant contact with Oyo and Booking dot com via messaging and Whatssap. Later, I also enquired about the possibility of early check in - but no proper response was given. I was back to accept a wedding invitation of one of the closest Kelantan Royalty which will be held on the 6th 3.00 pm at Masjid Ismailli (Sultan Muhammad V mosque in Pasir Pekan) and in Kota Bharu for the official ceremony the next day. I reached the location around 11.30 a.m. but was not able to check in except for 2.00 pm onwards. It is not possible for us to check in at 2.00 and be properly ready to attend the 1st day of the royal wedding at 3.00 p.m. I inquired about my prior messaging but it neither not found nor properly responded. While I have been reminded on ”cash deposit”, unlike any other Oyo-based hotels I've stayed before, despite my booking is secured by Visa - was surprised to find out that I can't use Visa to pay for my room. My family and I were very exhausted due to long less stoppable journey from Kuala Lumpur to Kelantan. It is very inconvenient as a Muslim; despite the status as a traveler (musafir) to roam around Kota Bharu during Friday prayers. The staff did promise that he will try his best to get me a room as soon as possible (which he did). We had no choice but to go somewhere discreet - ended up in Pizza Hut Kota Bharu to wait not only for the Friday prayers to end but also to rush to get cash from ATM. I complained profusely via Booking dot Com messaging and in less than but 1/2 hour, I was called by the staff to inform me that the room is ready around 12.30 Delighted, we rushed to check in. At the reception, I was told to ensure to pay for my parking the next two days (where Saturday/Sunday are working days in Kelantan) in front of the hotel using vending machine to avoid tickets or worse - locking of tyres by Kota Bharu Municipal Council. The room was ok - ample for the family. The television was not working properly but the maintenance boys were quick to fix the problem upon complaint. Later, having attended the first part of the royal function, we found out that the washroom's floor water trap was clogged and there was dirty and smelly water flooding everywhere on the floor. The sink's piping was modified/directed towards the floor trap instead of the internal wet-walls to the drainage which made things worse. (I suspect the drain for sink water was also clogged) The first day was really a total disaster. We did not have proper bathing and had to use the toilet/washroom near the reception Early morning on the 2nd day, I started to lodge complaints and luckily, we were given a new room which is so much better than the first. I should compliment the staff working on the 7th of March, 2020. There is no breakfast included in the package. Good location which near to KB town & food spots. Convenient stores like Watsons, 7-Eleven just a minute away from the hotel. McDonalds next to the hotel. Wakaf Che Yeh night market located in front of the hotel. Staff were friendly. Food were good. Facilities in room were outdated and need improvement. There’s public parking nearby. Private parking charged and reservation needed. The room is comfortable for 3 adults but the rate is quite pricey for the room quality & size. Broken bidet, slow water pressure, steamed iron not well functioning.

Average accommodation. Good location if you are into night market shopping. Other than that, there is nothing much around it. Staffs are rigid when I request to see the room. Reason being every year guests have the same complaint subject - the bathroom. We checked in at 7.30pm and request for late check-out the next day. Front staff informed that there is a surcharge of RM$30/hour. And I was just asking till 1pm. Breakfast can skip. Good thing only is the spacious room and the carpark. Overall- building & service need to be improvised. And I think the air-con in the lobby is off after breakfast. For all this, to me the rate is expensive.

The room is spacious cozy and not messy. The furniture in the room are old and need too be refurbish. Disappointed with the pest control in the room...a lot of ant in my room....also at level 11 around the waiting area for the lift there is a pigeon nest and can hear the sound from the pigeon taking care the nest...so unpleasent.. The foods for breakfast need to be upgrade more...the mee goreng and nasi kerabu too salty...bihun goreng is too dry...

Easy to find the hotel, but waiting for the traffic to give you way to enter the hotel gonna be tough during peak hour. Enough parking inside or outside. Security is enough, you can only go up if you have the key. The check in time start from 2 pm, super rarity. Comfortable room, enough space to put luggage, pray. What I love is the toilet is separated from shower. Enough amenities. The breakfast spread is nice, got Kelantan delicacies like laksam, nasi kerabu. They put catchy phrases under each menu. I think if they serve the tarik, it would be even better. The tv is nice too, got movie list besides the normal channel. Whenever you call the guest service, it took them within 30 mins to serve you, in my case we requested new towels and sejadah and foot mat. Maybe the hotel can consider to provide umbrella since it rains non stop. Location wise, it's not super central, but still central kb, it only took you less than 15 mins to reach pasar siti khadijah. The sales director en fitri zinuddin makes us feels welcome.

Booked one night on a whim as it is the only one with an available room in KB town proper. Wasn't expecting an amazing hotel, but having stayed there for one night, I think the hotel is great, and the staff are very professional and very courteous I might add. Room is clean, albeit a bit small, but no issue. There's some slight issue with sound as people kept opening and closing doors within my floor. Hotel is walking distance to a lot of restaurants, convenience store and 24/7 laundry. Breakfast is limited, but it's enough to fill you up (Mihun goreng is too greasy though). Definitely recommended, but make sure to book in advance as they can easily get fully booked. I wanted to do a late checkout, but since my room is already taken, they couldn't accommodate my request. But that's fine.

I used to stayed here for 2 days 1 Night. Its not for honeymoon actually, its because we just need a place to take a nap since we need to give space for our relatives to stay at home. So, we prefered to look for budget hotel. We thought Ridel is perfect one since the environment and scenery were good so far, near to the river and strategic if you are hungry for every two hours, because theres a lot of restaurants surrounding even till midnight. The room condition was okay but maybe the price was not a the lowest rate or not match with the room condition, but still in affordable price. Quite unsatisfied when we found that our bed sheet got stained, when we call receptionist to change it, they just gave us they new one and asked us to change it by ourselves. Actually, they should check on the facilities and room condition to make sure its cleans for another guests. However, Im not saying that its a poor services, since its affordable and not too expensive. Maybe, they can improve about their housekeeping.
