      The location is pretty convenient. Just below the hotel, there are coffee shops selling Chinese food and a dim sum restaurant nearby. It also even has a small night street selling food right in front of the coffee shops. There is also a Ban Heang Bakery Shop that sells local biscuits which you can buy as gifts for friends. However, if they have a mini-mart nearby, it would be ideal. The hotel is also near the Komtar / Bus terminal, as that's the place you take a bus to Penang/KL or other parts of Malaysia. It is also near Pragin Mall and 1st Avenue Mall. The hotel provides a one-way shuttle bus to 6 locations (Armenian Street, Komtar, Sleeping Buddha, etc) at certain respective timings (9am, 10.30am, 12pm and 6pm). You will have to call reception and book your bus slots early or else will fill up very fast. The room is clean and comfortable. A kettle, iron, ironing board, safe box and hair dryer are provided.

      Great place to stay for a couple for one or two nights, particularly if you intend to eat at the excellent restaurant on site. There is a swimming pool but it's proximity next to the road makes it rather uninviting. The bathroom was uber cool but the lack of blinds meant light flooded into the bedroom which made it difficult to sleep well.

      We stayed on 25-26 october 2022. The booking through trip.com was hassle free. The hotel parking was good. The room is not big though I took king bed but the bed looked like queen size. The door mat needs to be changed. There is no iron in the room and the tv channel is not functioning. But I like the location because it is walking distance from eatery places like Sup Hameed and Deen Maju.

      The location of the hotel is very good, it is very small, two boxes can not be opened flat in the house. Going to the surname bridge, murals, museums and supermarkets are very close. There is a net red coffee outside the hotel, you must try it. The hotel started to take off your shoes from the door and it was clean. The black brother at the front desk is very enthusiastic. I will give you an introduction to the game. It will not be Chinese or English. Hotel breakfast is average, very small variety, coffee bread slices. Overall praise.

      What a lovely hotel! For the price I was paying, I was not expecting much. But everything, from the hospitality to the room, was amazing! The room itself is spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, and wonderful to come back to after a long day of wandering. The air conditioner works great, the shower has actual hot water (not a given in Malaysia, I've found), and the bed is comfortable. The hotel provides extra little touches, like fantastic, thick, large towels for the bathroom and daily water bottles. Netflix and Youtube are connected through the tv, so you always have options. And I was thoroughly impressed by the housekeeping staff, who seemed to do a deep-deep clean every morning. The location is excellent. It's not in the center of downtown, so you don't have the noise and craziness, but it's only a short walk away. Even better, it's super close to Komtar, the main bus terminal. If you are going anywhere too far to walk (or if you don't want to walk far when it's 90 degrees outside!) the free CAT bus and all of the other intracity buses are only a couple of blocks away. It was perfect for coming in on the ferry - I hopped on the free CAT bus, got off at Komtar and walked 5 minutes. I understand as well that the hotel will lend out bikes for use of the guests, but that's not my thing. Something that won't matter to a lot of people, but I loved, was that there are 3 incredible vegan restaurants within a 5-minute walk of the place and great coffee places only a block or two away. Wifi was good. Other than a blip one night when it was slow (I think it was a provider thing, not the hotel), I was getting 15mbps download speed. If I return to Penang, this will definitely be where I stay. Highly recommend!

      Check-in 2pm but the receptionist allowed us to check-in 30 minutes early. Maybe it's depends on room availability. The room was very nice, clean even though it is not too spacious. Price paid meet our expectation. Daily house keeping. Housekeeper very friendly to us. This hotel just opposite off Penang Times Square. Near to many attraction place. The famous Nasi Kandar Deen Maju just around 8 min walking. Also near to the mosque so can hear adzan during prayer times. Muslim-friendly hotel because also got kiblah sticker. If you want to stay at the comfortable hotel with affordable price, I recommended to you this hotel.

      Instagram-worthy hotel in the hearts of Georgetown UNESCO heritage site. Truly a beautiful & posh hotel, both interior & exterior! Room: Clean & comfortable room with a calm ambience. There's in-room Nespresso ☕️ machine, TWG tea selection, 2 bottles of mineral water, mini fridge etc. I love the glass shower room & the natural essential oil toiletries. I get to view what my girl is doing when I'm showering. Service: Hotel staff (including the housekeeping team) were polite, however housekeeping standard could be improved. We requested to change bedsheets (placing the green card on bed) after a few nights of stay but was not being changed. Clean towels were not being replenished & rooms were not vacuumed well during our stay. We feedback to the hotel on our last night of stay & it got escalated to the Manager immediately.       We were warmly greeted during the check-in & offered ice cream as a welcome. Check in was a breeze & we were in our room less than 10mins. The rooms are big, clean & house keeping did a marvelous job of keeping our room clean & today. The availability of the roof garden provides a scenic view of the night scene of Penang. The location of the hotel was just next to Gurney Paragon where there several good restaurant available. For those who loves shopping, less than a 5mins walk you are in Gurney Plaza. One of the better shopping malls in Penang which caters to all sorts of choices from supermarket, retail & food. Next to the Plaza is the famous Gurney Food Centre where you can savor the local Penang food. Overall a good experience.

      Service: The family members are uncomfortable and want to drink porridge. In the evening, I called the restaurant. The restaurant was not available. I specially made porridge and vegetables for us. It was delivered to the room at a reasonable price. I just played less hygiene in the morning, and asked if you want to change the towel in the afternoon. The service was more often.

      Location was nice as the road's not too busy. There's around 12+ parking for guests at the ground floor so if it's not peak time there's no need to worry about parking. Room was nice but the sheet got a bit stain. Nice place for the price.

      The white elevator is very unique to this elevator. Tho it was slow but I don’t mind bec it so chic with glass door. Very unique indeed! Love it though I wasn’t able to take pic. 😒 +++ white elevator, water refilling dispenser, very spacious room & bathroom +++ location was quite away from the main action but there are 2 bus stops nearby, komtar & chowrasta are 5-10mins walk +++ they provide dental kit, small soap, nice shampoo/conditioner & body wash, mugs, electric kettle, safe, ref, ac was functioning very well, room telephone, tv but i did not use it +++ free wifi was good —- reception is not very friendly except for 1 Indian guy who promptly answers whatsapp tho he mistaken me for a guy at first 😄, the chinese receptionist hardly smiles, indian lady seemed to not know anything when you ask about tourist spots (i think hotel people should equip themselves with some knowledge on tourism. I mean there should be basic orientation by management on this. Times had changed and you need to have these extra customer service, just suggesting). —- i was in the assumption that cleaning is daily but i was told every other day but i still need to remind them about it. Entire hotel can use some improvement in the cleaning — no closet inside the room, you just have to hang your stuff —- my view was a huge wall —- soundproofing is bad, very noisy when people close doors or children running around. You hear toilet flushing from nearby rooms —- it was raining when I arrive and nobody offered an umbrella except on the second day when the janitor heard me. That was appreciated very much. It also made me realize that umbrella is a weapon for solo travellers so that made the carrying a little easier —- towels smell mushy maybe bec of rainy season —- sometimes bathroom had some drainage smells —- food choices was a little limited in area unless you walk for like 5-10mins. Overall stay was still on the good side. I had way worst stays than this. I did enjoy my solo trip to Penang and would love to go back. I plan to stay next time near the street art areas where the actions are. I would still recommend le embassy to other travellers.

      Excellent location right in the middle of heritage city center with many good eateries, landmarks and shopping options. Parking is free for guests and valet parking is available for a fee. The hotel was extremely busy when we tried to check in around 4pm, so there was a long wait but the staff that handled my check in is quick and professional as long as you are reasonable and prepared. The room smelled musky when we entered but got better when the air con kicked in. Parts of the room felt worn and dated but still looks really good to me. Pretty sure it's mostly personal taste. Very pleased with the shower, volume wise great and quick to get to the desired temperature. The bed is of good enough quality to have a restful sleep. Breakfast provided has decent choices and are okay in terms of quality. Replenishment was a bit slow and lacking at times and it gets really crowded due to the narrow space for guests to get food but I imagine it to be a great experience when they are not as busy / crowded. We went at around 9am. It depends on my travel circumstances and the rate/price but I wouldn't mind coming back to this hotel. If only it had some special factor that would really make me want to return, like an amazing breakfast or a global loyalty program. Overall, I've been very pleased with my stay albeit I had a much higher expectations due to the location, good branding and image. There were certainly many flashes of brilliance in my experience in an otherwise serviceable stay that was at times hampered by the peak season crowd.

      I request a beautiful view for my room, but end up what I get is NO VIEW at all and at a lower floor, abit disappointed because is our anniversary so I thought can see from the window for a stunning view and can have nice photo to take for our 30th anniversary. Tho I don’t receive a nice view room, but i was shocked to received a nice Anniversary Cake from the hotel, so sweet, thank you to Jen hotel. The location here is consider ok cos we walk to art alley and have nice pictures for the art lane, their local food was good if you can find their best In town but just need ti check when is their day off. We are unlucky to choose on Wednesday which all my makan wish list all closed!!! Oh yes, not forgetting their mao Shan Wang durian, it was so good and shiok to eat on the spot! My experience told me next trip to Penang, never choose evening flight cos after you reach the hotel, you can’t find any good food around, just room service. I ordered the food but not exactly like what the menu stated “king prawns” for their char kueh teow, they served normal prawns only, disappointed for the price cos never get what we looking forward! The only thing calm me down is lucky the food taste good, plus their service very good here, thumbs up! I’m comfortable to stay here, hopefully the next trip I can get higher floor to enjoy the night view.

      Stayed here one night in family suites with 2 rooms with my 2 kids, the hotel is not far from Komtar penang. Parking is not an issue even for our MPV, their rotating car park with escalator can move the car into empty slot. Check-in is fast and we stayed at level 19th with nice city and some ocean view. Room is very big with a living room, master room with big washroom and changing cabinet, and another connecting room. Wifi is fast and there are 19 tv channels to choose from. Next morning we went for their gym at level 22, not very big but good enough with 5-6 workout machines. Breakfast is at level 21 buffet styles, choice is just nice, not many but food is ok with reasonable price, only RM21 per pax.
