      Cons- No bedroom slippers No hand/face towels Xtra charges to request for extra towel. No iron. Wardrobe in toilet looks a bit disgusting we didn’t hang our clothes there. Carpet some areas are torn Furniture wood chipped off quite dangerous if have kids running around. Basic coffee and tea given with kettle Basic toothbrush hand soap and shower gel from dispenser given. Hairdryer given. 2 bottles of mineral water given. TV channels had 4 local channel only. We brought our own box to fix it to the hdmi port. Carpark is open shared carpark but got someone taking care of the carpark. Fridge wont be that cold or take sometime to be cold so best to buy a cup of ice or iced drinks elsewhere first. Shower area abit small Room looks like the pictures but just a bit smaller. The pool is shared with the bar. Means u will swim surrounded by pple lounging at the bar. So not really ideal for families i feel. Pros- Able to order and receive grabfood from lobby easily. Good amount of plugs We went during sch holidays on weekend. No Q during check in(3 counters)when we reached ard 215pm. Check in at 3pm but was given room key by 230pm. Aircon quite cold. Wifi not bad. Bed quite hard but thats fine by us. Bar pool is quite happening at night with loud club music and a big screen projector. Fyi- Deposit of 50rm(card or cash)and tax need to pay hotel in cash around 8rm for 2 nights. Do bring a disinfectant spray to spray around the room. And lots of tissue to wipe after washing ur hands and other things or bring ur own small towel or buy from mr diy or eco nearby!

      Exactly today, i'm writing in the same room in Midcity Hotel Melaka. We came here for a short getaway. We book a total of 4 rooms. 1 rooms was basically okay. 1 room which is a deluxe twins, when my nephews switch on the toilet light, the fans making a scary sound as a ghost assessing. Another room, the light suddenly off and on unknownly. The other room, a junior suite, both bed single and queen bed ”in dirt” on the bedsheet. The TV channel is basically limited. We called their reception. The receptionist came up to change a new bedsheet but eventually the bedsheet also not clean. She told us that they don't not enough staff. And their housekeeper end work at 6pm. What a funny hotel. I don't understand how the management handle and schedule their staff. Rather than you don't have enough staff and you give your guest this kind of service, might as well you close the hotel on festive season right? Very disappointed. Very unpleasant. Unrecommended.

      1. Location Strategically located nearby Hatten Hotel and Mahkota Parade. Walking distance about 8-10 mins. Have speedmart 99 & Watson's just across the street from the hotel. Also a famous Baba nyonya restaurant (Ole Sayang) right beside. 2. Service Free parking provided behind the hotel (not shaded). Otherwise can park at the roadside carpark by MBMB & claim the money from hotel. 3. Cleanliness Overall is ok. Can be cleaner. Stained sheets & toilet sink can be seen. 4. Amenities Basic toiletries provided, however we noticed the dental kit has been open. So we dare not use it. Clean filtered (Coway) water & ironing board provided at every level. Only local channels in the TV, but we're out most of the time, so ok.

      Stayed here recently and I would like to share my experience;this hotel is basic but it is good for its price. There are private parking for hotel guests and it is 10mins to Jonker Walk and other tourist attractions. Also there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance which is really convenient. The wifi is fast and the aircon is good and also I really like the aqua pillow;heavy but quite comfortable to sleep on.

      ３ During my weekly stay in Malaysia, I tried Accor Hotels hotels everywhere, but the only hotel that did not prepare welcome amenities for gold members with a brand of ４ stars or more. KL Novotel contains truffle chocolate ６, and I also stay at Mercure KL Shaw Parade, Penang, and Novotel in Taipin, but will fruits and sweets be delivered later? It was prepared in the room in advance. Both have a message card with a name. Furthermore, if you think the sound from the next room is noisy, you are playing loud music in the common corridor. Impossible! The alarm in the room is not turned off as the previous night set, and the check is sweet. There was a trace of dirty water in the back of the refrigerator, but this is also that the basics of cleaning are not done at all. Another thing is that the corner of the drawer next to the desk is not safe (not rounded), so I injured my leg when I finished my work and tried to get out of the chair. It's a design that I'm not thinking about at all. By the way, even though the kettle pot is small, it uses a full metal pot, so I almost burned. There may be no safety thought at all. Malacca usually stayed at the IHG Holiday Inn, but the room was small and the net was slow and nothing good.

      Very good value for money, although I guessed it from the beginning, I was glad I chose it after I checked in. The room is spacious and novel (things in the photo are messy, sorry); the three counter staffs are very kind, and can be introduced in detail in both Chinese and English, including attractions and surrounding restaurants; because they have to rush to the bus in the evening Station transfers to the airport require extended stays and also provide appropriate and cost-effective rates.       Stay 12-15 Dec 22. Drive from Singapore . Goggle map guide . Hotel easy to reach . Use touch and go card for parking . Hotel will use the same touch and go and waive parking . Arrive 1030am. Too early for room release . Did the check in and was inform to come 1500 to collect key. Reach 1430 collect key and was given 1215. Room was nice . Carpet was clean . Air smell good . However , hair dryer was damaged . Fridge was not cold . Safe no battery . I call concierge. In ＜ 30 min, hair dryer came , maintenance bring up a spare fridge , battery wa change . I was shock ! They work so fast ! Even my wife say the service is good . My wife (DM) work in the Marriott hotel group and then in the Singapore far East organization hotel group. She loves the room , service and staff. She tell me… she will be back … haha.. Breakfast was also sufficient and good . Pleae go early. Like 8-9am… go too late … Queue is long . Wife went for hotel Spa scrub and massage . She also say good . Hattan hotel … please maintain the good work . Btw, behind hattan hotel got many food and laundromat . Just walk from the 7-11 out and you will see many row of shop house . Zhong tai restaurant and the famous Tong SHeng juat nearby .

      Couple staycation in Melaka for 4D3N in Swiss Garden Melaka @ The Shore. Hotel lpbby is big and nice, the reception was quite friendly. We got the 13A storey. Room was pretty decent. Breakfast was so so. Location wise was a bit far off from shopping malls and attractions. But not a problem, coz we grab around. Only downside is the internet connection. We got intermitten connection for 1st two days, 3rd and 4th totally no connection in the room, unless i sit next to the door! Brought it up to the staff, but she said the router is placed above the door, and the door was thick, dats y the coverage sucks. Recommended to change room, but too much hassle. My rating 3/5
